Your input is extremely valuable to us as we formulate the 2025-2029 Comprehensive Master Plan. Come make your voice heard!

Movies in the Park: The Little Mermaid

We're kicking off our 2024 Movies in the Park series! Join us on May 17 for a screening of the live action version of The Little Mermaid. Bring your blankets and snacks (no alcohol permitted) and get swept away into Ariel's world of fish friends, sea witches, and a dashing prince.

Mark your calendars! Summer registration opens for ice skating and hockey soon! Escape the summer heat and enjoy the ice all summer long. We have classes available for toddlers through adults, beginner to advanced.


Those currently enrolled in the spring skating session get priority registration. Registration windows open at 8:30A on their respective days.

Gymnastics registration for summer is fast approaching! Registration opens for Oak Park residents at 8:30A on Saturday, May 18. Our summer classes are split into two sessions: Jun 10-Jul 6 and Jul 8-Aug 3.


Participants enrolled in Spring classes are not given priority registration for the Summer session. Summer is our open enrollment time.

Girls in STEM: Mary Anning

May 18 | 2:00-3:00P

Austin Gardens


Learn about a famous female paleontologist from the 1800s, Mary Anning! We'll follow in Mary's footsteps by looking at fossils and determining where these prehistoric animals lived. This program is for ages 4-9 plus one adult.

Skateboarding Classes


This summer, give your kids a structured and supportive environment to gain confidence and have a blast on their boards! We have a variety of skateboarding classes available, ranging from beginner to advanced, for ages 7-14.


Spring classes start this week and run for five weeks; we offer prorated program fees for participants that register after the start date. Classes will run again in August-September.

Pollinator Plant Sale

The Perennial Pollinator Plant Sale is open! Increase your garden's biodiversity with a selection of natives, native cultivars, and heirloom perennials, all grown locally at the Conservatory greenhouse.


Shop in person and pick up orders at the Oak Park Conservatory on May 31 and June 1 from 10:00A-4:00P.

Donate a backpack and help fill it up with needed supplies to benefit youth from pre-k to high school! Donations will be accepted from May 13 through August 2, and can be dropped off at the following locations:
