Dakota County Regional Chamber to help and assist businesses re-open

Over these last 2 months, with the challenges presented by the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s  goal has been to strike a balance between safeguarding health and protecting our local economy. Businesses throughout the metropolitan area are eager to get back to work. Business operations can, and should, return to a sustainable level without jeopardizing employee or customer safety.

The DCR Chamber has retooled our website and communications to provide the necessary tools and resources for our member and nonmember businesses as we move into the next Phases of re-opening our businesses.

Based on the best practices shared by employers already operating safely, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce provides the following tools and resources to assist other Minnesota businesses in their efforts to provide safe workplaces for their employees and customers as they come back. Resources include:

If you have any ideas or plans your business is using and would like to share those please send them to Maureen Scallen Failor, President of the DCR Chamber, mscallenfailor@dcrchamber.com
Help the DCR Chamber of Commerce Advocate for You

With the recent announcement from Governor Walz on reopening restaurants, bars, salons, campgrounds, in a limited capacity, effective June 1, 2020, the DCR Chamber understands and appreciates the emphasis on safety, but had hoped the administration's actions would go further in allowing businesses the same chance to be creative and safe within an indoor setting.and other ways to provide safe services.

On several occasions we have requested your response to surveys, and again we are asking you to take a few minutes. This information will help the Chamber advocate for the future dates of expanding the guidelines.

Join Velocity Public Affairs and Support Your Local Restaurants with the Curbside Challenge
Local restaurants and bars are pillars of our communities that have supported our local clubs, sports team, charities, and causes. In an effort to continue to support these bars and restaurants that have supported our neighborhoods and communities for years, the Velocity team has been participating in the   #curbsidechallenge   and nominating our friends to join.  We challenge you to order food from a restaurant that has supported you and your community. When you pick up your food shoot a quick video or snap a picture out front and tell everyone about the establishment and how they support the community. Then share on social media to challenge others to take the Curbside Challenge with the hashtag  #curbsidechallenge
