Brokenness was and/or is something many of us deal with in one form or another. Whether your heart was broken in a relationship or your spirit crushed because you desired something so much only to see it slip through your hands, you'll have to learn how to move pass your brokenness to spiritual wholeness. Let me say that again. Unless you're able to transform your life from devastation to resurrection, all you'll suffer is regret, disappointment, anxiety, and emptiness. I want you to understand that everyone has experienced something tragic in his or her life. You're not alone. In order to press forward in your faith, you must overcome what's broken.
 
Our church (The Liberation Temple) adopted the theme in 2009 'Moving from Brokenness to Spiritual Wholeness' because we believed if you're broken on the inside, you're affected by everything that happens on the outside. In other words, if you're so busy being consumed with your brokenness, how can you receive all that God has for you? Simply put - failure to do what you need to do to get out of your brokenness will keep you living in your mess. No one wants to be around a person who voluntarily chooses to live a disarrayed life. Oh yes, there are some people who don't want to be delivered from their brokenness because getting delivered means they'll have to do something, give up something, and trust that God is able to do everything but fail.
 
In this spiritual journey, I want to share with you a few lessons that will help you on your road to spiritual wholeness. The first thing you need to know is that moving from brokenness to spiritual wholeness isn't a one-time magic concoction but a process that begins when you make up your mind that you want better. No one can force you to make that decision; it's one you have to make by yourself and for yourself. Once you make the decision to resurrect your life, God can begin operating on your life from the inside out. That's right; God will begin healing wounds and bringing peace where there's chaos. Confessing you need help (divine intervention) is the first step to spiritual wholeness. The second thing you need to do in moving from brokenness to spiritual wholeness is believe you can overcome any tragedy you've experienced. Get into your spirit that you can overcome any pain, hurt, abuse, or negative addiction in your life. How is it possible? Because with God and through God, all things are possible. (Oops, I said something.) You've heard it said before, 'no weapon formed against you shall prosper.' Check this out. Your life belongs to God. You're not defined by your brokenness.
 
In writing to the people of Philippi, the apostle Paul penned these words, "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Please don't miss this last lesson. When you move from brokenness to spiritual wholeness, you change your priority from how you feel in the natural to what you can grasp in the spiritual. As long as you're looking at things with your natural eye, all you're doing is living and reliving the pain and discomfort of your past. Change your channel, focus on God, and get ready for your breakthrough. That's my word for you. It's not going to be easy, but always remember God will never leave you nor forsake you.
