Dear Neighbor:

Once last Tuesday's election results came in, I needed some time to catch my breath after two intense months. Unlike my City Council campaigns, this one began without time to plan or prepare, but the compressed schedule did not stop the field of candidates from mounting campaigns that dwarfed my prior City Council experience. All told, the five Democratic Party primary candidates collectively spent a total of more than $213,000, a per-candidate average of more than $42,500. While my primary campaign budget ($34,000) was below that average, and while many of you contributed generously to my campaign, I still spent almost twice as much as I raised. My special election campaign budget after the primary was considerably smaller ($6,000), but it added to my campaign's accumulated debt that I now wish to retire. With that in mind, I have scheduled a reception on November 16 (described below) to thank those who can contribute $100 or more at this time, as well as those who contributed $250 or more earlier in the campaign. You can purchase a ticket (or obtain a complimentary ticket if you previously contributed $250 or more) by clicking here. If you wish to contribute to my campaign in any amount you choose, but do not wish to purchase a ticket, then you can do so by clicking here.

Thank you all for your previous and ongoing support.

Sincerely,
