March 29th, 2019

As we continue our message series,  The Waiting Room, this week, we'll be learning all about the power and incredible importance of worshiping in every circumstance while we wait. By now, we've all probably realized that waiting, in any shape or for any reason, is tough. When we're in these difficult places, if we're honest, worship is probably not at the forefront of our minds. Join us this week as we seek to understand just how crucial an attitude and commitment to engaging in acts of worship are to our walk with Christ as we encounter a lifetime of waiting and wandering.

Grace Marie Ward will be speaking in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services. Pastor Jeff will be speaking in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services. We're looking forward to seeing you Sunday!

Business Leaders Lunch
Are you a business owner, manager or leader within our community and seeking a community to fellowship, learn and network with like minded people at Mt. Horeb? Join us for our next Mt. Horeb Business Leaders Network luncheon on April 11th from 12:00-1:15PM. Our guest speakers will be Troy Simpson and Jason Wilkie. Lunch is provided!

Troy Simpson, MCEC's Vice President of Member Services, will lead us through a conversation on "Making and Dealing with Transitions in your Career." Jason Wilkie, President and Owner of JC Wilkie Construction, will share with us what he has learned in his journey "Running a Christian-based Business." Both Troy and Jason bring lots of real life experience, successes and humble missteps, that all of us can relate to and learn from.

Married People
We have three Married People events coming up soon. If you're unfamiliar with Married People, these are great opportunities to strengthen a marriage and enjoy  a fun, casual evening for couples to relax and laugh together.

April 10
Money is one of the biggest causes of conflict in every marriage. This happens because we enter marriage with different approaches to money. But when you start approaching money together, it can create connection. Talking about money forces you both to communicate and compromise.

April 24
Our individual issues can cause serious conflict in our marriages. It's much easier to sweep away the distracting cobwebs than to actually kill the spider causing them. In other words, we medicate surface-level issues without addressing deeper-root problems. But when we embrace God's plan for our life, we can kill the spider once and for all.

May 1
In marriage, we tend to have serious fights about silly things. That happens because we're really in conflict over something deeper. Women's insecurities around fear and men's weaknesses around shame play off one another in explosive ways. We can choose to handle these conflicts differently by remembering what's true about us as children of God.

Join us in the Auditorium for these evenings of fun and learning.

Every year, Christians around the world unite to celebrate the most significant event in the history of all creation: the incredible resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In Jesus' death and resurrection, His blood has purchased our freedom from sin and death. We have so many reasons to rejoice! You're invited to join us this Easter as we sing loudly and delight in the reality that Jesus is risen!
