November 6, 2026

Join us as we observe Stand Sunday, a special day dedicated to raising awareness and taking action to support children and families in foster care, kinship, care and adoption. As a church family, we are called to stand in the gap for vulnerable children, offer hope to families in need and share the love of Christ through our actions. On Stand Sunday, let us renew our commitment to be a welcoming and supportive community where every child is valued, every family is encouraged, and no one has to walk alone.

You can find more information on Stand Sunday by visiting mthorebchurch.org/standsunday.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child collection is still happening! You can drop off your shoebox all this week and again next Sunday. If you haven’t picked up a box yet, grab one outside the worship spaces on your way out. If you'd rather shop from home, you can build a box online. Thank you for giving so generously.

Membership Class

Whether you’re exploring Mt. Horeb or ready to join, you’re invited to our Membership Class this Sunday from 3–5 PM in Room 861. You’ll have the opportunity to join at the end of the class or come back to a future class if you’d like more time or info. Register at mthorebchurch.org/membership or through the Mt. Horeb app.

Baptism Class

Our Baptism Class for all ages is happening this Sunday from 5:00–5:30 PM in Room 861. As Global Methodists, we believe baptism is an outward sign of the inward work God is doing in our lives, and because His work is perfect, we practice one baptism. If you or your child has never been baptized, or if you’d like to learn more, we’d love to have you join us. After attending the class, you can choose from one of our upcoming in-service baptism dates. This class covers both sprinkling and immersion. Register now at mthorebchurch.org/baptism or through the Mt. Horeb app.

Thanksgiving: From Family to Family

Would you like to adopt a local family this Thanksgiving?

Your family can shop for groceries and Thanksgiving Day meal ingredients and deliver them to a local family who could use a blessing on Sunday, November 22.

Bring your shopping list items at 4:00 PM to the Mt. Horeb Auditorium. At that time, you will receive the name and address of a family that has already been contacted and is eager to receive your basket. Most families will be available to receive their basket on Sunday immediately following the packing party. Other families may need for you to call and schedule an alternative delivery time.

You provide the groceries and a laundry basket. A shopping list is provided on the registration page. Mt. Horeb will provide the meat, collard greens and the address of the family that you will deliver to.

*Note we have modified the shopping list to provide a week's worth of food in addition to a Thanksgiving meal because the children are out of school all week and will not receive breakfast or lunch.

For questions or more information, contact Jessica Coates.

"If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like the noonday." Isaiah 58:10

Christmas Musical

Many have made Mt. Horeb’s Christmas musical an annual tradition. We invite you to join us at one of our four performances in the Auditorium.

Saturday, December 5 | 5:00 and 7:00 PM

Sunday, December 6 | 9:00 and 10:45 AM

There will not be services in the Sanctuary as our worship teams are coming together to create a special experience to celebrate the Christmas season. You don’t want to miss this spectacular celebration. Mark your calendars now! The nursery will be provided for children three years and under during the 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM services.

Upcoming Concerts

We’re excited to announce the first two concerts of our 2027 Concerts at Mt Horeb series. On February 26, we welcome Selah, known for powerful vocals and moving arrangements of worship songs and hymns. Then on April 9, we host Matthew West, one of the most beloved voices in contemporary Christian music, with songs that tell real stories of hope and grace. Thanks to our Friends of Music sponsors, tickets are just $20 while they last. To join Friends of Music or to purchase tickets visit mthorebchurch.org/concerts.
