Jericho reminds us that God’s strategies often confound human logic. Marching around walls didn’t look like warfare, but it was an act of trust. This message explores patient obedience, spiritual warfare and believing God for breakthroughs before the walls crumble.

Membership Class

Whether you are seeking information about the church or are ready to join, you are invited to attend our Membership Class this Sunday from 3 to 5 PM in Room 861. Those who wish to join the church will have that opportunity at the end of the class, and those who are not ready yet can return to a future class for additional information and/or to join. You can register at mthorebchurch.org/membership or through our Mt. Horeb app.

Baptism Class

Our Baptism Class for all ages will be held this Sunday at 5 PM in Room 861. As Global Methodists, we believe that baptism is an outward sign of an inward work that God is doing in our lives and because God’s work is perfect, we believe in only being baptized once. If you or your child is someone who has never been baptized or if you’d like to learn more about baptism, please plan to attend. Once you attend, you can choose from one of our scheduled in-service baptism dates. This class is for all those wanting sprinkling and immersion. Register at mthorebchurch.org/baptism.



Worship Workshops

Registration closes this Sunday. The Contemporary Worship Team is hosting Worship Workshops for rising 6th-12th grade students interested in learning more about worship music, live production and pastoral ministry. This is a great opportunity to learn more about one of these areas and to develop and refine skills. If you are a beginner, this is also an opportunity to be exposed to how these ministries work together to serve in a worship service setting. Workshops will take place July 28-30 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The cost is $30 per student, and the registration deadline is July 12. Click here to register.



Sisterhood

Join us next Friday, July 17 in the Student Room from 6 to 8 PM for a joy-filled night of food and fellowship as we come together to connect, be refreshed and celebrate what God is doing among us. No formal program will be offered as this evening is designed to nourish your soul, spark meaningful conversations and give you space to laugh and enjoy community. And the food? It’s a treat you won’t want to miss! Bring money because we’ll have two amazing food trucks on site so that you can purchase dinner. Plus, included for free, satisfy your sweet tooth with Cookies by Cristyn, where you’ll not only enjoy delicious cookies, but also get hands-on with cookie-decorating fun! School Supply Drive

Our annual School Supply Drive starts next Sunday, July 19! Each year, we team up with our local missions partners to provide kids all over our community with the tools they need to succeed for the upcoming school year. You’ll find a card in your seat this Sunday to take home with you, which includes the list of items we need along with all the collection details. The digital School Supply List can also be viewed online at mthorebchurch.org/schoolsupplydrive. We ask that all items be new and unopened and that you pray over the children who will receive the supplies you bring in! You can bring your items to the Missions Center on your way into church on July 19 and 26 or Monday-Friday, July 20-24 at the Missions Ministry office porch. We thank you for your generosity to this ministry year after year.
