September 25, 2026

Four friends bring a paralyzed man to Jesus, but when they can't get through the crowd, they refuse to give up. They climb onto the roof, make an opening, and lower their friend directly in front of Jesus. They couldn't heal him. They couldn't fix his circumstances. But they could carry him to Jesus. That's intercession. Intercession is bringing someone else's needs before God when they may not have the strength, faith, or ability to get there themselves. We all know people who are hurting, struggling, searching, or far from God. We may not be able to change their circumstances, but we can pray. And notice what Jesus sees: “When Jesus saw their faith…” Jesus noticed the faith of the people who carried their friend. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do for someone is to carry them to Jesus.

Michael Turner, Senior Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Rachel Carosiello, Adult Discipleship Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Prayer & Healing Service

As part of our regular services Sunday, we will have Prayer and Healing services in the Auditorium and Sanctuary. We will have a time for you to come to stations set up across the rooms and voice your prayer requests to one of our prayer team members, who will pray over you. Make plans to attend one of these powerful services this Sunday!

Protecting Our Church Family from Scams

Sadly, scammers sometimes pose as pastors and staff to reach out to church families by email or text. We want you to feel confident about what is really from us. Any email from a Mt. Horeb staff member will come from name@mthorebchurch.org. Our staff will never ask you to buy gift cards or make a purchase of any kind. If a message asks for that, it is not from us.

Whether you are giving, registering for an event or paying for something at church, you can do it through Pushpay. If a message asks you to send money in any other way, such as gift cards, a wire transfer or a payment app, please don't respond.

A few simple habits can help keep you safe:

  • Look at the full email address or phone number, not just the name that shows up.
  • Be cautious of messages that create urgency or ask you to keep something secret.
  • Don't click links or open attachments you weren't expecting.
  • Never share passwords, verification codes or banking details by email or text.
  • When in doubt, contact the person directly using a phone number or email you already know is theirs.

If you receive a suspicious message that appears to come from our church, please let our office know. We are grateful for you and want to help keep our community safe.
