The Holy Spirit isn’t just a doctrine to understand—He is God’s presence with us every day. In Spirit-Led, we’ll learn what it means to walk with the Holy Spirit by recognizing His voice, trusting His guidance and growing in the life He empowers us to live. This week focuses on how the Holy Spirit leads us through Scripture, wisdom, conviction and promptings, and how we can learn to follow His direction with confidence.

Chris Morgan, High School Coordinator, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Grace Marie Shaw, Worship Arts Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Vacation Bible School

1,418 kids are already registered for VBS, and we’re so excited for all that God is going to do this summer! To help make VBS a safe, fun and meaningful experience for every child, we still need more adult volunteers.

Right now, we have 609 volunteers serving, but only 395 are adults. Preschool rooms require two adults to open, and each K–2nd grade crew needs at least one adult crew guide. Some of our crews still don’t have an adult assigned.

What does a crew guide do? You’ll walk with a small group of kids from station to station, encourage them, keep the energy up and help them

have a great week. No prep or teaching required — just a willing heart and

a friendly smile.

Serving at VBS is more than just filling a role — it’s an opportunity to invest in the next generation and be part of life-changing moments. Volunteer registration has been extended through Thursday, May 21. Visit mthorebchurch.org/vbs to sign up today — and invite a friend to serve with you!

Graduation Sunday

This Sunday, May 17, is Graduation Sunday, and we look forward to honoring all of our graduates and celebrating this important milestone together.

We are excited for this special day and look forward to continuing to walk alongside these students in this next season of life. They are loved, they are seen and we know God has great things ahead for them. Students can wear their cap and gown into the services and sit as a group.

Food Drive

Each summer, while we break from our normal Backpack Ministry, we make it a point to provide the families from our local school district struggling with food insecurity with a month’s worth of shelf-stable foods through an annual food drive. This Sunday you will find a card on your seat or near you with the items that are needed this year. If you are able to contribute even one item, it makes a huge difference to the families we serve!

We’ll be collecting your donations on Sundays, May 24 and May 31 at the Missions Center, which is located outside the Auditorium in our West Building. You can also drop off items on weekdays until Friday, May 29 at the Missions Office; which is the house directly behind the back parking lot. For more information, visit mthorebchurch.org/missions.

Student Summer Calendars

We have a fun-filled, packed summer for our students. If you are a middle or high school student, be sure to pick up one of our calendars at the Guest Services desk on Sunday so you do not miss out on all the ways to stay connected this summer. We have some great things planned!

You can also visit mthorebchurch.org/students to view the calendar online.

Blood Drive

Mt Horeb Church will host a Red Cross blood drive on May 18 from 1:00-6:00 PM in the Student Room. In March our drive was cancelled due to weather, so let’s roll up our sleeves and fill all the donor slots. Each donation saves lives! You can sign up at redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: Horeb.

  • New donors receive a $20 gift card, just for giving for the first time.
  • Every donor is entered in a drawing for 5 tickets to Carowinds.

Online Bulletin

If you can't be here on Sunday morning, stay connected through our online bulletin. You can see our weekly financial report as well as a list of needs to pray over. Click here to view our weekly bulletin.

Job Opportunities

We currently have several job opportunities available at the church. If you or someone you know is looking for a place to use their gifts and talents to serve, we’d love to connect. Visit mthorebchurch.org/jobs for more information about current openings and how to apply.
