March 20, 2026

Before the nails were driven and the cross was lifted, Jesus was beaten, mocked and humiliated. Though innocent, He willingly endured pain, shame and rejection for our sake. Stripped of dignity and crowned with thorns, He stood in our place, carrying the punishment our sins deserved. Isaiah foretold it: “By His wounds we are healed.” This week invites us to reflect on the cost of our salvation and the depth of Christ’s love.

Bill Bouknight, Retired GMC Guest Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Rachel Carosiello, Adult Discipleship Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

We wanted to give you a quick heads-up that this Sunday’s message will include some graphic content leading up to Jesus' crucifixion as part of the teaching. We encourage you to use your discretion and consider using the church’s childcare for younger children if you feel that would be best for your family.

Membership Class

If you want to learn more about our church or are ready to become a member, we invite you to our Membership Class this Sunday from 3 to 5 PM in Room 861. At the end of the class, you’ll have the chance to join the church if you’re ready. If not, you’re welcome to come back to a future class for more information or to join later. Sign up at mthorebchurch.org/membership or through the Mt. Horeb app.

Baptism Class

We’re holding a Baptism Class for all ages this Sunday at 5 PM in Room 861. As Global Methodists, we see baptism as an outward sign of the work God is doing in our lives. Because God’s work is perfect, we believe you only need to be baptized once. If you or your child has never been baptized, or if you want to learn more, we invite you to join us. After the class, you can pick from our upcoming in-service baptism dates. Our next immersion baptisms are on Sunday, May 3. The class is open to anyone interested in either sprinkling or immersion. Sign up at mthorebchurch.org/baptism or through the Mt. Horeb app.
