April 10, 2026

The resurrection of Jesus didn’t just change eternity—it changes today. Because of Christ, we are not merely forgiven people trying to survive in a broken world; we are new creations learning to live a new kind of life. In the Book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul paints a powerful picture of what it means to be made alive with Christ. We will discover that salvation is not just about where we go after we die—it is about who we become while we live. Paul begins Ephesians with a powerful reminder: believers are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. These blessings are not earned—they are gifts given because God chose us before the foundation of the world. Through Christ, we are adopted as God’s children, redeemed by His blood and sealed with the Holy Spirit—the very guarantee of our inheritance. This is resurrection reality: even before we acted, God’s power was at work, giving us life and purpose in Him.

Communion reminds us that these blessings come at a cost— the life of Jesus. As we take the bread and the cup this Sunday, we remember that God’s love has made us alive spiritually and given us a new identity: chosen, redeemed and empowered to live as His children.

Jeff Kersey, Pastor Emeritus, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Bill Bouknight, Retired GMC Guest Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.
