April 26, 2026

If Christ has made us new, our lives should begin to reflect that new reality. Paul urges believers to leave behind the old patterns of life and to “put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Resurrection life means learning to live differently—speaking truth, practicing forgiveness, choosing love and reflecting the character of Jesus in everyday relationships. The gospel doesn’t simply forgive our past; it reshapes our future. Because we are alive in Christ, we can now walk in love just as He loved us.

Rachel Cariosello, Adult Discipleship Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Stephen Fitch, Congregational Care & Assimilation Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Membership Class

Whether you are seeking information about the church or are ready to join, you are invited to attend our Membership Class next Sunday, May 3 from 3 to 5 PM in Room 861. Those who wish to join the church will have that opportunity at the end of the class, and those who are not ready yet can return to a future class for additional information and/or to join. You can register at mthorebchurch.org/membership or through our Mt. Horeb app.

Baptism Class

Our Baptism Class for all ages will be held next Sunday, May 3 at 5 PM in Room 861. As Global Methodists, we believe that baptism is an outward sign of an inward work that God is doing in our lives and because God’s work is perfect, we believe in only being baptized once. If you or your child is someone who has never been baptized or if you’d like to learn more about baptism, please plan to attend. Once you attend, you can choose from one of our scheduled in-service baptism dates. This class is for all those wanting sprinkling and immersion. Register at mthorebchurch.org/baptism.

Vacation Bible School

VBS 2026 enrollment is underway! If you haven't registered yet, there's still time to sign up for Rainforest Falls VBS 2026.

The session from May 31 to June 2 is designated for individuals with special needs, ages 12 and older. Registration is available at mthorebchurch.org/snvbs.

The June 8 to 11 sessions, with three options, are open to children ages four through fifth grade. To register as a participant or volunteer, visit mthorebchurch.org/vbs.

Currently, over 1,200 children are registered, with 371 volunteers confirmed. We anticipate welcoming 1,500 children and require 1,000 volunteers to ensure a successful Vacation Bible School. The greatest need is for adult Crew Guides. There are numerous opportunities to serve and contribute to a safe and enriching experience for every child. For more information or to sign up, please visit mthorebchurch.org/vbs

Mother's Day

As we prepare for Mother’s Day, we’d love to include our church family in a special way. If you’d like to participate, please send a favorite high-quality photo of you with your mom or your child to communications@mthorebchurch.org by May 1. These will be featured during a Mother’s Day element in our Contemporary space. To ensure the best display, please note that low-resolution or blurry images may not be used.
