Noah’s story is about far more than animals and an ark—it is about trusting God when obedience looks foolish. Noah responded to God’s warning before he saw any evidence of the coming storm. This message explores the kind of faith that obeys in advance, builds in uncertainty, and rests in God’s covenant promises. It also points to the ark as a picture of refuge and salvation in Christ.

Michael Turner, Senior Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Trevor Miller, Faith Formation Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

School Supply Drive

Our School Supply Drive is officially underway! Each year, we team up with our local missions partners to provide kids all over our community with the tools they need to succeed for the upcoming school year. You’ll find a card in your seat this Sunday to take home with you, which includes the list of items we need along with all the collection details. The digital School Supply List can also be viewed online at mthorebchurch.org/schoolsupplydrive. We ask that all items be new and unopened and that you pray over the children who will receive the supplies you bring in! You can bring your items to the Missions Center on your way into church on July 19 and 26 or Monday-Friday, July 20-24 at the Missions Ministry office porch. We thank you for your generosity to this ministry year after year. 



Summer Night Live

Hey students, quick question: who says Christmas has to wait until December? This Wednesday, July 22, we're throwing Christmas in July for Summer Night Live! Think crazy games, festive challenges, all your favorite Christmas music, right in the middle of summer. Whether you've been coming every week or this would be your very first time, there's a place for you. So, dust off those Santa hats, grab your Christmas pajamas and bring a friend! It's happening in the Student Room, 6:00–7:30 PM, totally free and the first 100 students get a free t-shirt. Don't miss it!



Prayer & Worship Night

Mark your calendars for Friday, August 14. We're hosting Abide, a night of open prayer and worship in the Chapel, starting at 6:30 PM. It's a two-hour block with no set schedule: worship, pray, be prayed for by one of our prayer partners, or just sit and abide in God's presence. Come for the whole time or just a few minutes. However you need to show up, we'd love to have you there.



Mt. Horeb Golf Classic

Only a few team spots remain, so grab yours today! Join us for a great morning on the course in support of the Mt. Horeb Backpack Ministry on Monday, August 17.

For 16 years, Mt. Horeb has partnered with Harvest Hope Food Bank to make sure kids don't go hungry when school is out for the weekend. Thanks to this tournament, more than 500 children from under-resourced families in Lexington School District 1 receive a backpack of food every week during the school year.

This year's format is four-person Captain's Choice. Registration opens at 9:00 AM, with a 10:00 AM shotgun start at Golden Hills Golf Club. Your registration includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, longest drive and closest to the pin contests, lunch and a chance at raffles and prizes.

Mission Trips

We currently have two mission trips open: Kenya and Kentucky.

Kenya: September 15–25 | Zoe Empowers

Zoe Empowers exists for orphaned children and vulnerable youth living in extreme poverty, with youth-led households as the primary recipients. Through a three-year, locally led program, Zoe equips these young people to become safe, healthy and self-sufficient, giving them the skills to build meaningful lives within a supportive community. Mt. Horeb has partnered with Zoe Empowers since 2014, supporting groups of 60–100 participants with microgrants, life skills and vocational training. On this trip, you'll visit the communities Mt. Horeb has supported and see firsthand how our partnership has helped local businesses and group projects thrive amid adversity. View the trip overview.

Kentucky: October 11–16 | Red Bird Mission

Red Bird Mission and Clinic has served the Appalachian Mountains since 1921, reaching an isolated rural community shaped by chronic poverty, limited jobs, poor housing and rugged mountain terrain. Red Bird meets these needs through education, health and wellness programs, community outreach, economic opportunity and housing improvement. Mt. Horeb will come alongside Red Bird Mission in several ways, most notably by serving in their work camp on light-to-heavy construction projects. We'll also help out in the community thrift store and the Senior Center.
