March 6, 2026

As Jesus stood falsely accused and unjustly condemned, His closest follower denied even knowing Him. Fear, pressure and uncertainty led Peter to abandon his bold faith. This week explores how trials expose our weakness, but also reveal God’s mercy. We will see that even when we fail, Jesus remains faithful and offers restoration to those who return to Him.

Trevor Miller, Faith Formation Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Chris Morgan, High School Coordinator, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Membership Class

Whether you are seeking information about the church or are ready to join, you are invited to attend our Membership Class on Sunday, March 22 from 3 to 5 PM in Room 861. Those who wish to join the church will have that opportunity at the end of the class, and those who are not ready yet can return to a future class for additional information and/or to join. You can register at mthorebchurch.org/membership or through our Mt. Horeb app.

Baptism Class

Our Baptism Class for all ages will be held on Sunday, March 22 at 5 PM in Room 861. As Global Methodists, we believe that baptism is an outward sign of an inward work that God is doing in our lives and because God’s work is perfect, we believe in only being baptized once. If you or your child is someone who has never been baptized or if you’d like to learn more about baptism, please plan to attend. Once you attend, you can choose from one of our scheduled in-service baptism dates. This class is for those wanting sprinkling or immersion baptism. Our next immersion baptisms will be on Sunday, May 3. Register at mthorebchurch.org/baptism or through our app.

Easter at Mt. Horeb

Make plans to join us for Easter week here at Mt. Horeb. Our Maundy Thursday service will be on April 2 at 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary and we will have our Easter services on April 5. There will be a sunrise service at 6:30 AM in the Sanctuary and then we will have Traditional Services at 9:30 & 11:00 AM and Contemporary Services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 AM. Please note the time differences between these services. We hope that this will help accommodate our growing services this Sunday. We know this will be a wonderful celebration of our risen Lord that you won’t want to miss! For more information visit mthorebchurch.org/easter.

GO Weekend

The Church was never meant to stay inside four walls. Go Weekend is our church-wide mobilization weekend — a time set apart to go beyond our building and serve our local community in tangible, meaningful ways. Throughout the weekend, we will partner with local ministries, schools, neighborhoods and community organizations to share the love of Christ through action. Whether you can paint, pray, build, organize, visit, encourage or simply show up with a willing heart — there is a place for you. Go Weekend is more than an event. It’s a reminder that we are sent people — called to live out our faith in practical ways. Mark your calendar for April 17-19. More information to come!

Blood Drive

Join us for our blood drive on March 16 from 1-6 PM in the Student Room. The American Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage as requests from hospitals exceed the available supply, drawing down the blood supply by about 35% over the past month. The shortage is especially serious for platelets and type O, A negative and B negative blood. Without immediate action, patients face serious risk. Your help is needed right now.

You can sign up at redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: Horeb
