We also are continuing to celebrate Mt. Lookout's 150th Anniversary! You can take part by flying your very own Mt. Lookout flag, toasting the neighborhood with a pint of 150 Candles pale ale from Streetside Brewery and renewing your annual Mt. Lookout Community Council membership!

email
if you have any questions or comments that you'd like to share with the MLCC Board.

REDSTONE MTC (LINWOOD) DEVELOPMENT
|
|
As we've discussed previously, Redstone MTC, LLC is proposing to replace up to six homes currently fronting Linwood between Beverly Hill and Sheffield with 16 attached landominimums and at least 10 detached homes on the hillside behind them.
Developer representatives have asked that we form a Community Advisory Group to help focus discussions about the development. In response, we are looking for up to eight volunteers to serve on this committee. We will make every effort to assemble a diverse group that represents our community as broadly as possible. People serving on this committee should be property owners in Mt. Lookout.
If you are interested in participating, send us an email at
info@mtlookout.org
by Friday, August 17. Include your name, email address, and phone number as well as a brief statement outlining why you are interested, your general availability and any expertise that you may have that may benefit Advisory Group discussions. We will get back with more information to all who respond.

"The MLCC played a valuable in role in providing a forum for the community to express very diverse wants and opinions on two developments near my home.
The MLCC board took the time to listen to the community, study the facts, and make recommendations that were listened to by the city.
The MLCC provides a valuable role of leading respectful discussion within the community."

Happy 150th Anniversary Mt. Lookout!!
|
|
|
2020 is the 150
th
anniversary of our community!
To mark this milestone, we have a number of special celebrations planned. One of the first to get off the ground is partnering with Streetside Brewery to create a commemorative brew called 150 Candles. Streetside describes 150 Candles as:
"... a hazy pale ale we brewed in collaboration with the Mount Lookout Community Council to celebrate one of Cincinnati's finest neighborhoods. Hopped generously with Amarillo and Citra, ripe orange and lemon-lime dominate the aromatics and flavor. 150 Candles is the perfect beer to imbibe this summer while commemorating this wonderful neighborhood's birthday!"
150 Candles is now for sale at Streetside (4003 Eastern Avenue) and on tap at Zips an Delwood. Streetside is donating a portion of sales to the MLCC. Be sure to give it a try and raise a glass to Mt. Lookout!

MT. LOOKOUT HAS A NEW FLAG!
There's a new flag flying in Mt. Lookout. Developed through the
CincyFlags
project with community input, our new flag is blue for education and learning and white for motion and connection. Front and center on the flag is an illustration of the Observatory which gave our neighborhood its name. A constellation of stars above the Observatory conveys a sense of movement throughout the community. Be sure to stop by Flaggs USA in Oakley to order one of your very own!
