It’s finally strawberry season here in Ohio! You simply can’t beat farm fresh strawberries. Get them before they’re gone!
2 pints strawberries, sliced
1/3 c. unsalted butter, softened
2 c. flour
2 T. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
Fresh whipped cream, ice cream, or additional milk for serving
Heat oven to 450F. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter with pastry blender. Stir in milk just until moistened (do not overmix!). Drop dough by 8 spoonfuls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until just golden brown. Serve with sliced berries and whipped cream.
