CS_Shadows_DropShadow_Black-0009 image

A mudslide has destroyed half of the Mentiq Gadam synagogue / meeting room. It will cost $4800 to rebuild the synagogue. Please consider contributing for the preservation of this historic building.

Gadams in Ethiopia are ancient monasteries, or hidden synagogues, where elderly, widows, and orphans from the Beta Israel community live and work. They are self supporting with farming and crafts. For security, they are remote, with access only by long walks. The leader is called an Abba.

Mudslide has destroyed half of the synagogue.
