The Brown County Caregiver Coalition works very hard in our community to meet the needs of our caregivers. Upcoming Events


  • Mug Club Caregiver Support Group - Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
  • Virtually: 10 - 11 a.m. If this would be your first time joining us, please connect with Teri at (920) 448-4320 or teri.bradford@browncountywi.gov to make sure you get the link for the meeting!
  • In-Person: 5:30 - 7 p.m. In person at ADRC, 300 S Adams St, Green Bay. No RSVP required. Since the agency will be closed for the day, please come to the single door entrance (south side) and ring the doorbell. We will be watching/listening and will let you in.


  • November is National Family Caregiver Month! - Please consider joining us for the events that the Brown County Caregiver Coalition has planned. Including Dancing Through the Holidays with Lisa Pritzl, Creating a Safe Discharge Plan, along with several open houses in the community. We look forward to seeing you!


No one lives forever and it's so hard to let go. Losing a loved one can be one of the most devastating events in our lifetime, but your relative is sitting right next to you. Loss and grief are part of the human experience. Caregivers experience something called "anticipatory grief." These feelings of grief that can begin well before a loved one passes away. This webinar is presented by Candace Ramos, Sr. Director of Market Development. (58 minutes long)


  • Dementia Experience - Tuesday, November 7, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 12 - 1 p.m. & Thursday, November 9, 12 - 1 p.m. in person at ADRC. Do you wonder what it might feel like to live with a type of dementia? Try the Dementia Experience where you will be outfitted with tools to simulate neuropathy of the hands and feet, vision limitations, and auditory changes.   • Coping with Grief During the Holidays - Thursday, November 9, 12 - 1:30 p.m. online via Zoom. Holidays can be difficult for those who have experienced loss. Discover techniques to cope with your grief. Connections for Mental Wellness is hosting this virtual session focused on coping with grief during the holiday season. Join us to learn more about:
  • Expectations for yourself and others
  • Self-compassion
  • Genuineness and grace
  • Boundaries and communication
  • Developing a plan


This session will also cover stages of grief and what to expect when grieving. Knowing ways to cope can help you get through feelings of grief over the holiday season. Presented by Eileen Kozlovsky, Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Social Worker at Foundations Health and Wholeness. Register here


  • Check Medicare Statements for Fraud

The latest Medicare scam that is being reported across the country and right here in Wisconsin emphasizes the importance of checking Medicare statements on a regular basis. Medicare beneficiaries are reporting claims for urinary catheter kits that were neither ordered nor necessary. This is fraud and should be reported.
