News and updates for your caregiving journey
May 15 - June 14, 2021
May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Little known fact: Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in May in the United States since 1949. Why do I mention this? Caregivers are often so concerned with caring for their loved one's needs that they lose sight of their own wellbeing. Please take a moment to answer the questions on this Caregiver Self-Assessment.
May is also Resilient Wisconsin Month. Make it a colorful month! DHS has coloring sheets, the five designs are inspired by artwork/ideas submitted by DHS staff. Share a photo of your completed coloring sheet on social media using #ResilientWisconsin. Taking time to relax and do something fun (like coloring!) can help people of all ages build resiliency.
