Vaikunta Ekadasi will be celebrated at the Sri Venkateshwara Temple on Monday, January 1st. It is one of the most auspicious days to worship Venkateshwara Swamy.
Devotees can walk through the seven doors of Vaikunta and have darshan of Lord Venkateshwara.
According to Vishnu Purana, observing the Ekadasi Vratam or fast on Vaikunta Ekadasi day, has the benefits of observing the fast on all the other ekadasis during the year. In observing the vratam, devotees can abstain from eating cooked food, or as is possible by each person, but importantly spend the day in Bhagawath dhyanam, chanting or remembering the deeds of the the Lord.
