Lemonade Reception Honoring Jay & Kay Harris

The SPRC is hosting a lemonade reception in honor of Jay & Kay Harris on Jay's last Sunday as our interim pastor. Drop by, have some lemonade, and share your thanks for Jay's service to Mulberry over these past few months!

Help Welcome Our Incoming Senior Pastor

Our new Senior Pastor, Rev. Jack Varnell, will begin at Mulberry on September 1, and we want to welcome him to Macon with a special gift basket! If you’d like to contribute to this basket, you can give a gift card from your favorite restaurant in town, favorite Macon memorabilia, or a special note welcoming him. We will have a basket in the office to collect the cards, and the gift will be presented to him at our September Second Sunday Lunch.

New Book Study: 5 Marks of a Methodist

Begins August 21 | Wednesdays | 5:30 - 7 pm | Conference Room

Led by Flo Martin, this 6-week study will meet on Wednesday Nights from 5:30 - 7 pm to discuss Five Marks of a Methodist: The Fruit of a Living Faith by Steve Harper. This study, which reflects on the practices that confirm our identity as followers of Christ, is great for those looking to deepen their understanding of what it

means to be a Methodist. Participants will need to buy both the book and the participation guide.

Get Involved with the Lending Library for CCM!

The Family Ministries Team is excited to begin the Lending Library for the 3K class at the Mulberry Children’s Center for this school year. There are many ways you can help with this ministry, including book and Bible story donations, financial support, and volunteering with book check out and story time. For a full list of ways to support this important ministry, read the letter linked below.

If you would like to join our team or help out in any way, please contact Nita Smith at smithevelyn248@gmail.com or 478-361-3928. We will have a planning meeting on Thursday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Children’s Blue Room on the 2nd Floor and we invite you to join us.

Details about Lending Library

We send Christian love and sympathy to Bill Stembridge and family on the death of his brother, John Stembridge, who passed away earlier this week. Services will be next week in Unadilla, GA.
