Mulberry Book Club - June Meeting

Sunday, June 9 | 10 am | Parlor

June’s selection for the Mulberry Book Group is one sure to help you find joy and hope in the face of life’s hardest obstacles. We’ll be reading Desmond Tutu’s Made for Goodness: And Why This Makes All the Difference, written with his daughter Mpho Tutu. Available from Amazon or your favorite bookseller, this is “a reflection on faith, forgiveness, and reconciliation,” as NPR shared in its review. All are welcome; join us on Sunday, June 9 at 10:00 AM in the Parlor!

Summer Bible Study on Mark

This Summer, Payton will be leading a Bible study on the Gospel of Mark! In this six week study, the class will work through Amy Jill Levine’s The Gospel of Mark: A Beginner’s Guide to the Good News. We will closely read the Bible’s earliest account of the life of Jesus with and focus on the book’s major themes and characters, like John the Baptizer, Mark’s Little Apocalypse, and the Transfiguration. If you are interested in being a part of this study, please sign up here. Payton will work with those interested to find the best time to offer the course!
