David Rosenblad, Austin-based singer-songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, sound designer and composer for film and TV, has released two new singles via his label Thirteenth Moon Studio ahead of his first album in over four years, “The Sound and the Meaning,” releasing later this year.

His single “Like a Sagittarian Archer” asks a question - what does stake your claim mean? The song is a vibrant Americana/indie pop/ jazzy tune featuring the fabulous Wyatt Corder (Big Wy’s Brass Band and Sir Woman) on trumpet, and was featured as KUTX 98.9 Song of the Day on Aug. 30. “Enough is Enough” is a double-entendre take on self confidence, and is driven by piano and strings (featuring Jazzelyn Camille on viola).

"David’s what you’d call “hip to the industry”; on top of his status as a longtime Austin mainstay multi-instrumentalist-singer-songwriter-producer, Rosenblad’s also an accomplished TV-film composer and sound designer, not to mention co-founder of Lotus Rose Healing Arts Center, and owner of both DRM: Sir Reel Sound and local studio Thirteenth Moon. And it’s through Thirteenth Moon (which doubles as a label) that David Rosenblad’s set to break a near-half-decade release hiatus with his next album The Sound and the Meaning."

These singles can be found on David’s upcoming album “The Sound and the Meaning,” his first album since “Aquarius Rising” in December 2019. In addition to a slew of new originals, the album will also include two interesting covers, “I Can See Clearly Now” (Johnny Nash) and the perennially cosmic “Across the Universe” (Beatles/Lennon), both staples of David's live act.

David’s music, including the new singles, his last album “Aquarius Rising,” plus a number of other singles and collaborations (including Peace Prayer with Dwain Briggs) are available on all music platforms worldwide, including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music and Pandora. Other new works coming soon include a soundtrack album and a collaboration with the singer Satori Laurel on interpretations of verses from the Tao Te Ching. David is also a sound healer, having started a healing center with his partner Kirsten Carter, Lotus Rose Healing Arts Center, which is also home base of their duo Venus the Rose, and has been known as a weaver of captivating live music for yoga, including being the musical force behind International Day of Yoga events at the State Capitol from 2016-2019. David thrives in creating genre-bending music to raise the vibrations of those around him and the planet.
