On June 22nd & 23rd we kicked off the 2019 MultiSport Canada Triathlon Series Presented by Martin's Family Fruit Farm. We had an awesome time watching some amazing racing and the incredible athletes that joined us in Welland. With warm temperatures, sunny clear skies, and refreshing water temperatures, we couldn't have asked for better weather to kick off the season. We saw an inspiring range of participants from those who won the first prize money of the 2019 season, to those who completed their very first triathlon. Thank you to all who participated and to those who helped make the weekend possible!

ITU Qualifying Expression of Interest Now Open for the 2019 Gravenhurst Sprint Duathlon

We would like to remind you that Triathlon Canada has launched a new National Team Qualification process. If you are vying for an ITU Worlds spot, all interested athletes must be Triathlon Ontario members or members of their home Provincial Governing Bodies if not from Ontario, PRIOR to competition. In addition, all athletes must register an Expression of Interest prior to each qualification event. An EOI page will be set up by Triathlon Canada specific to each province with the list of qualification events and disciplines.

Information on how to qualify can be found here , however please note that this is a Triathlon Canada program. For more details about the 2020 ITU World Championships or criteria for being a part of the National Team, please contact Triathlon Canada at or visit their website at
The Gravenhurst Sprint Duathlon is an ITU Qualification race - 1 spot per age group, per gender. The Expression of Interest is now open. This must be done PRIOR to the race.

I’ve been competing in endurance sport for about 10 years. I began as mountain biker, riding and racing on some of the best trails in Ontario (in my ‘unbiased’ opinion) at Durham forest and Hardwood Hills. I have always tried to seek new challenges...

I am a runner/duathlete representing the LPC Hurdle Project Team. I recently completed my engineering degree from the University of Waterloo where I ran varsity cross country, and now I am working full-time in downtown Toronto...
