Thank you to Everyone for Another Amazing Season!
As we wrapped up the season with the final race in Lakeside this past weekend, we couldn't be happier and we hope you are too. This season was full of amazing racing, awesome athletes, first timers giving it their all, personal bests, and lots of laughs and smiles at each and every event. We would like to thank every participant of our series this season for making each event an amazing experience for all. We surpassed even our highest expectations at all MultiSport Canada events this season, and none of that is possible without the support of our incredible athletes and amazing sponsors. We would like to say a big thank you to all of our series and event sponsors for everything they do, and we would also like to thank our series and event ambassadors for all the help and support this season. Last, but not least, thank you to all of our volunteers who work tirelessly at each event to ensure it is a safe and fun event for all.

We hope everyone enjoyed their time with us this season and we look forward to building another awesome series of events for next season. We hope to see you all next year!

I am a 42 year old wife, mother, teacher, and coach. I have been married for 15 years. My husband is one of the people in my life that challenges and encourages me to train for and race the variety of running and multisport races that we do. We have two daughters that inspire me every day with their dedication to swimming and running. I try to be a good role model for them, but I can always learn from the...

I first fell in love with triathlon while watching an Ironman broadcast on television in the late 80’s. At the time, I was a 2 pack a day smoker and was going to graduate school for my Master’s Degree in Counseling. In high school, I was active in sports, playing on the school basketball and softball teams. I also had raced Motorcross as an adolescent and despite a primarily sedentary life as a college...

Hello and greetings from the USA! I am so excited to have been selected as once again to be one of the MSC Barrelman Ambassadors. This year will mark by 7th year of having fun with triathlon. My first triathlon was a local sprint, the Tristate Triathlon in 2012 and I was hooked. I moved up to the Half distance the following year with the Half Full 70 and have completed many other triathlons of...

My current race age is 46, and I have been doing triathlons since 2010. When much younger I was a cyclist, but had fallen out of the sport with life and kids. When my oldest daughter decided that she wanted to do a triathlon I figured that I had to do one also, I could not just let her go out and train on her own. We completed a sprint triathlon, and I shortly stepped up to doing half distance triathlons...

I am blessed and honored to represent the Barrelman Triathlon for 2019 and help spread the word back in the states about multisport and this great event! I’ve been running since grade school, but fell in love with multisport during the run leg of my first triathlon relay in 2002. Waiting for my biker to come into transition, I couldn’t help but admire (and feel slightly jealous of) the brave athletes doing all three disciplines...

In fact, I have always loved running, but I wasn’t introduced to organized sports/events in my youth. As I started my active live (early 20), I started running every morning, without knowing I had any specific skill at it. I would run on any type of soil (train, pavement, beach, forest, snow, streets, bike paths, etc.), sometimes for short, sometimes for longer distances, but with no watch to give me my distance nor...

My name is Jeanne and I live in beautiful central New York, just a few miles from the Iron Girl Syracuse venue, where I completed my first triathlon in 2015. Little did I know at time of registration that it would change my life! I hadn’t exercised in years, and suddenly I was out there several days a week training for this race, and actually having fun doing it (yay for training buddies)! While I can admit that...

Hi! I am 38 years old and I call Southwestern Ontario home. With a busy professional and family life, I am thrilled to call myself a triathlete. I started into the sport – very slowly – as a way to relieve stress and improve my fitness. When I began running I would go up and down my driveway – running for 30 seconds then walking for 2 minutes. I grew up in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and that is where...

Barrelman was my first international triathlon in 2017. The open water swim was such a great experience! The canal is so flat and fast! It is a huge rectangular swim and you will work but there is no current either way! The bike is a great, flat, fast course with mostly smooth roads. The run, however, is a different beast! The challenge for me has been the hills and heat. The view of the falls make it all worthwhile...

Hi everyone! I’m super excited to be part of the ambassador team for Barrelman this year! This race has always held a special place in my heart, as it was my first foray into the middle-distance triathlon world. In June of 2015, I had a two month break between my first and second year of nursing school, and decided that I wanted to try something new to challenge myself. I had been a member of the University of...
