This September, the very best of our Canadian men and women pros will go head-to-head in an Olympic-distance, non-drafting triathlon. The best short-course and long-course athletes will vie for the title of Canadian Pro Champion. Mark your calendars, tune in, and discover who will capture the inaugural Canadian Pro Championship title!

The human body has two main energy systems it gets its power from; the aerobic and the anaerobic system. Most of us have heard these terms, but how many of us really understand how they work?

During these unprecedented times, it’s hard to stay motivated. While there’s no need to crank out super hard sessions or put in heavy training blocks that may compromise your immune system, it does help to stay consistent. So, I’ve come up with a summer checklist of 8 things to complete by Sept 21st!

If you notice you are thwarting your movement by telling yourself that it’s too hard, you don’t have time, you don’t have any way to get exercise, pause. Take a deep breath and think about jumping into something unexpected.

I have been dreading writing this for ages now. I know that this trifecta is uncommon in the triathlon world and I knew soon or later someone or something was going to make me write this. And this was the killing of black runner Ahmaud along with the recent festivities of Haitian flag day (May 18th) reflecting on what it means to be Haitian in Canada.

I didn’t run track growing up so my introduction to running was 5k, but I have always wondered how quickly I can cover 1609m. Without any MSC races on the horizon I figured there is no time like the present to find out. On August 3 I am going to do a 1-mile time trial to set a benchmark, and then follow that up with a 6-week 1-mile training program.

During our summer of the reinvention of endurance training, I have been able to try lots of different events. One of the events I was super excited to participate in was new The MSC Distance Challenge. Like many of us, I didn’t start out as a triathlete. I started as a cyclist.
