Local Research Opportunity
Are you taking an interferon beta medication for your MS?
Would you be interested in helping us assess a potential new medication?
We are currently recruiting patients for a clinical research study looking at an investigational medication that is an interferon beta requiring fewer injections than current interferon medications for relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS). The study will last for just over 1 year, and patients will need to inject the investigational medication under their skin every 2 weeks.
You may be able to take part in this study if you:
- Are 18-65 years of age
- Have been diagnosed with a relapsing form of MS
- Are currently taking an interferon beta medication BETASERON [interferon beta-1b] or REBIF [interferon beta-1a] and have not changed your dose for at least 4 months.
If you meet this eligibility criteria, you will be treated, supported, and monitored carefully by a team of experienced medical staff. There will be no charge to you for the study medications, health checks, and medical care related to the study.
For further information about this study, please click here: www.AllowResearchStudy.com or call (502) 899-6417.
Enrollment closes 07/31/14.

Paula's fundraising efforts continue!
And we can help. Instead of discarding those empty printer cartridges and old cell phones, let's recycle them! The Resource Center will receive all funds raised.
#1. Recycling cell phones: Turn in your old cell phones with their batteries (but no chargers or charging stations - just the phones).
#2. Ink & Toner Cartridges: Used printer ink and toner cartridges are collected. Only name brands can be recycled - no generic, compatible, re-manufactured, or office store replacement cartridges should be saved.
#3. Purchasing beautifully handmade note cards in the offices of the Resource Center made by The MS Craft Group.
Thanks, Paula!
From Paula: "Both items can be dropped off at the Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Center or to me.
