Amy Rasmussen Farewell!
It is with mixed emotions that MCEM announces Amy Rasmussen will be leaving us for a very exciting opportunity. Amy has been selected to build an emergency management program for Pacific University. Pacific University is based in Forest Grove, OR (Washington County) with multiple campuses that include healthcare clinics and support offices throughout the state. Her new title will be Business Continuity and Emergency Manager.
Congratulations, Amy!
During Amy's 2 1/2 years with MCEM she has completed the county's Damage Assessment Plan, redesigned and revived a better-than-ever COOP program for all departments, updated the Duty Officer manual, and started a Continuity of Government Plan and a Catastrophic Plan. Amy is a solid emergency manager who brings her wit and creativity wherever she goes. She will be missed, but luckily she will continue to be a regional partner.
Please join us in thanking Amy for her service to Multnomah County and wishing her the best as she builds a robust program for our neighbors at Pacific University.
