MT Environmental Commission
The Environmental Commission made significant progress on multiple initiatives in 2020. For efficiency, the Commission organized into sub-groups of up to three members, with each team working on a specific issue or project. The Commission also strengthened and formalized the process of conducting environmental reviews for the Township’s land use planning boards. Other new undertakings include community composting, energy audits, energy aggregation, and an anti-bamboo ordinance designed to protect our environment from invasive species. These and other accomplishments are detailed in the Environmental Commission’s 2020 Annual Report.
