2020 General Election Information

All registered active voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot with a postage paid envelope to return. Completed vote-by-mail ballots may be returned to the Morris County Board of Elections by mail via USPS, Drop Box(click here for locations), or can be dropped off at the Municipal Building ONLY on Nov 3rd by 8 PM.

The one polling location in the Twp.: Municipal Building, 50 Woodland Ave. Voters who go to the Municipal Building to vote, and who have not voted by mail, will be able to vote by paper provisional ballot only. Only individuals with disabilities will have access to vote on the ADA-conforming voting machines.

  • Smoke alarms are on every level of the home
  • Smoke alarms are inside & outside sleeping areas
  • Smoke alarms are tested every month (makes noise when you press the test button)
  • Smoke alarm batteries are changed as needed
  • Smoke alarms are less than 10 yrs. old (replace every 10 yrs)

The Historic Preservation Commission is Pleased to Present Photo Albums of Morris Township's Historic Districts
The Morris Township Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) has conducted a physical survey of our historic properties, photographed each one and organized them into the following five(5) albums:

  • The first album: Washington Valley Historic District / released Sept 3rd
  • The second album: Pruddentown Historic District / released Oct 1st 
  • The third album: Normandy Park Historic District/ released Oct 1st 
  • The fourth album: Individual Registered Properties/ released Oct 28th
  • The fifth album: Historic Assets-Local Interest/ released Oct 28th

MTPD Trading Card Contest!
Rules and Information are as follows:
  • The contest will run from October 1st, 2020 - March 31st, 2021
  • You must be 14 years of age or younger
  • You must be a resident of Morris Township or Morristown
  • You must register​ (complete registration any time during the contest period)
  • Collect as many trading cards as you can and be entered in to win a Free Bicycle!

Simply ask any officer if they have their trading card on them. Then, that officer must sign and date the card for it to be a valid collection. The Police Dept. will feature officers throughout the weeks and host meet and greets.
