Online Safety with the Morris Township Police Dept.
The Morris Township Police Department has recently received reports of the inappropriate use of images of juveniles, which were taken from their own social media apps without the juvenile victim’s knowledge or permission. We would like to encourage parents to discuss the importance of online safety with their children. For more information regarding online safety and safe use of social media please refer to the link below. We also have dedicated members of the Community Policing Unit that are trained on teaching children and parents about Online Safety. We also offer different programs for community groups to help educate and inform. You can contact the Community Policing Unit at (973) 326-7450. Please do not leave a message on this line if it is an emergent matter.
