Message from the Mayor

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween last weekend. If the temperature outside didn't give it away, November is officially here.

As we approach Remembrance Day, I encourage everyone to support your local Legion and find a way to reflect, thank, and honour our veterans. The annual Poppy Campaign is officially underway and our local Legions have started to plan for their Remembrance Day services. More information about a Remembrance Day service can be found on your local Legion's website.

I want to also take a moment to remind everyone about our Pre-Budget Survey. As we begin the budget process for 2022, Lambton Shores Council wants to hear input from residents and business owners. The online survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and will provide valuable information to Council.

Lastly, I want to celebrate an incredible milestone that was shared by Lambton Public Health last week: 80% of Lambton County residents aged 12+ are now fully vaccinated! It is encouraging that this number continues to rise. If you have not received your first or second dose, please visit GetTheVaccine.ca to book an appointment.

Stay safe,

Mayor Bill
Last Call: Have Your Say on the 2022 Budget

As part of the 2022 Budget planning process, Lambton Shores residents and business owners are invited to provide input by completing the 2022 Pre-Budget Survey.

The deadline to submit is November 12, 2021. Survey responses will be limited to one per resident/business owner. Results of the survey will be shared with Council at the end of November.

Fall Leaf Pick Up Program

Please remember to have your bagged leaves by the curb before November 19, 2021. There is no specific day your leaves will be picked up, but they will be picked up by staff as long as they are placed by the curb before this date.

In order to be picked up, leaves must be bagged and meet the additional requirements listed on our website.

These requirements include:
  • All leaves must be in brown paper bags (no plastic bags)
  • Only leaves (no garbage, brush, or other yard waste)
  • Bags must be placed at the curb

Please do not rake leaves onto the streets or into ditches. This can cause drainage issues and poses a danger to pedestrians, bicycles, and motorists.
Creative County Grant Program
