Town, Village, and Northern Sector Meeting
Mayors, councillors, and administrators from Saskatchewan's towns, villages, resort villages, and northern municipalities are invited to join us
May 12 from 9:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m.
for the annual Town, Village, and Northern Sector Meeting.
The meeting will be held online using Zoom, but will follow a similar format to past sector meetings, including an advocacy update from Municipalities of Saskatchewan, a presentation from CentralSource, and discussions on topics that matter to Saskatchewan's hometowns*.
There is no cost to attend this online sector meeting, but advance registration is required.

Federal Programs Open to Municipal Officials Who are Small Business Owners
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) has clarified with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada that the restriction on “public office holders” for CEBA only applies to federal MPs and Senators. The website for the program is anticipated to be fixed in the coming days. FCM has also confirmed that municipal office holders are eligible for the Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance program.

Saskatchewan Nonprofits and COVID-19 Impact Summary Report
The Saskatchewan Nonprofit Partnership conducted a survey to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the operations and program delivery of nonprofit organizations in Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan nonprofits and charities were invited to complete the survey between March 27 and April 3.

Municipal Helpline
. Similar to the service formerly offered by Municipalities of Saskatchewan’s in-house counsel, the helpline is an informal consultation service for municipalities and municipal-related entities (such as municipal corporations and authorities) that require brief and informal guidance or consultation.
