Jaime Rodrigo Gough
October 10, 1989 - February 3, 2004

Palmetto Bay, FL - 09/18/2018: We have just received confirmation that MDPD Officer Andre Martin will be our special guest speaker at a street dedication ceremony in memory of Jaime Gough. On February 3, 2004, Jaime lost his life at the hands of a fellow student at Southwood Middle School. He was just 14 years old. Officer Martin was a teenager at Southwood Middle School and a friend of Jaime's when the tragedy took place. He narrowly escaped becoming a second victim. Officer Martin's remarks will not focus on that horrific day, but instead about his friendship with Jaime, and how from an unfathomable loss, a profound positive emerged.
Officer Andre Martin
Please join Village of Palmetto Bay Mayor Eugene Flinn and Council as a portion of Southwest 164th Street is renamed in memory of Jaime.
