During homecoming week, each student organization collects canned goods; they are weighed the morning of the basketball game. The queen candidate of the organization that collects the most goods is selected as the Homecoming Queen.
The NICHE student organization collected the most this year, with 1,550 pounds of canned goods.
More than 7,000 pounds were collected and delivered to the South Central Oklahoma Food and Resource Center.
