Men's Golf Wins Invitational

The Murray State College Men's Golf Team won the Alice Lloyd College Spring Invitational in Richmond, Kentucky.

Nursing Department Wins Blood Drive Trophy

For the second year in a row, Murray State's nursing department won the traveling trophy for the most lives saved at the February blood drive.

They saved more than 300 lives; each donation saves three local lives.

OACC Student Awards

Seven Murray State students received Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges (OACC) awards.

Gavin Crouch (not pictured) and Jazmyn Ragle were selected to the All-Oklahoma Academic Team.

Mackenzie Mathis, Matthew Patton, Codi Rodriguez, Mallory Sager and Andrew Wollenberg received OACC President's Tuition Waiver Awards.

Oklahoma Youth Expo Livestock Show

Murray State provided two, $4,000 tuition waiver scholarships. Recipients were selected by the OYE Scholarship Committee.

Conner Thompson from Asher, Oklahoma, and Haylee Wills from Kiowa, Oklahoma.

Murray State agriculture students helped Dean Brian Cothran at the goat show.

Some members of Murray State College Livestock Show Team helped during the cattle show.

Murray State College Shotgun Team

Murray State's Shotgun Team finished their season, placing fourth overall at the ACUI National Clay Target Championship in San Antonio, Texas.

OTA Honor Society Induction

Five Murray State Occupational Therapy Assistant students were inducted into the AOTA Honor Society.

The 2023-24 inductees are:

Holly Birchfield, Elizabeth Brooks, Brook Conley, Kailyn Faith Cooper and Tiara Wright.

Tiara Wright attended in person. The other ladies were able to attend via zoom.

Ardmore Middle School Students Learn About Electronics

Murray State Science Professor Don Loving teaches Ardmore Middle School students about basic electronics and connecting LED lights.

Murray State SSS Cultural Trip

Murray State's Student Support Services took a group of students on a three-day trip to Washington D.C.

They explored everything from monuments and memorials to Georgetown University and various museums.

President Scholars Program Guest Speaker

Chickasaw Nation's Director of Natural Resources Kris Patton talked with the Murray State President Scholars about the Arbuckle Simpson Aquifer and how it affects the land areas within the Chickasaw Nation, including Tishomingo.

Murray State Hosts Easter EGGstravaganza

Murray State hosted an evening of Easter fun and photos. Children enjoyed cookies, crafts and other activities. They also could have their picture made with the Easter bunny or in front of a spring backdrop.

Family Shelter Fundraiser

Murray State College regent, faculty and staff attended the Family Shelter of Southern Oklahoma's Casino Night Fundraiser.

In honor of the major league baseball season starting, students enjoyed a home run derby contest.

Murray State's OTA Director Jayne Campanini and AFWC Gina Hatfield attended the AOTA INSPIRED Conference.

Softball Starts League Play Strong

The fifth-ranked Murray State College Softball Team swept the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain on Thursday. With the victories, the Lady Aggies are a perfect 8-0 in conference play.

Murray State Gunsmithing Club Raffle

The club is holding their annual gun raffle until April 30. Only 1,500 tickets to be sold.
