Westheimer Southern Oklahoma Nursing Education Center Groundbreaking

Murray State College held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Westheimer Southern Oklahoma Nursing Education Center (SONEC) on its Ardmore campus. This momentous event celebrated the valuable partnerships that have made this project possible and the dedication of the students, faculty, and staff who have contributed to this achievement.

Thank You!

"This was an incredible day for our college. The SONEC groundbreaking signifies many things. The expansion of programming for the students we do this work for, as well as a state-of-the-art facility for the faculty and staff who work hard to provide the best possible education for our students. It also stands as a promise kept to community members who have worked with us to expand access to education and strengthen rural healthcare across southern Oklahoma. We couldn't do this without our stakeholders, and I'm proud to say that we did it, proving that we're better together. Thank you to the Murray State Board of Regents for the vision and resources, and to the partners and donors for standing with us."
