Murray State Records Enrollment Growth

Murray State has another enrollment increase for the seventh consecutive semester, with an additional 5% growth in headcount enrollment over the prior spring semester.

February Board of Regents Meeting

At the Murray State College Board of Regents meeting, Provost Becky Henthorn introduced Emilie Dean and Terri Greer, co-sponsors of the President's Scholars Program. They discussed the program, which received the 2024 Environmental Excellence Award for Higher Education from Keep Oklahoma Beautiful. To celebrate their accomplishments, the program members attended a dinner in the fall.

Murray State College Names 2025 Commencement Speaker

Murray State College has announced that Olympic Shotgun Athlete Vincent Hancock will be this year’s 101st commencement speaker. 


Hancock is the first Olympic skeet shooter to win gold medals in the same event in consecutive Olympic Games and recently won gold in Men's Skeet at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Last Week's NJCAA Pitchers of the Week

Murray State College softball player Isabella Hardeman was named the Region 2 Pitcher of the Week for throwing a no-hitter in a victory over Coffeyville Community College. Hardeman struck out four batters in five innings while only issuing one walk. The Lady Aggies would go on to win the game, 8-0.

Murray State College baseball player Cash Kuiper was named the Region 2 Pitcher of the Week for his win on the mound against Conners State College. Kuiper led the Aggies past the Cowboys as he struck out eight batters in six innings while only allowing two runs. The Aggies would go on to win the games, 10-3.

One day after being named the Region 2 Pitcher of the Week, Austin Haley was recognized as the NJCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore struck out 10 in the Aggie's win over No. 1 Blinn College.

Sulphur MOU Signing

Murray State College and Sulphur High School signed an agreement to offer Murray State's Accelerated College Experience (ACE) program to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Mayfield Named First Murray State College Wrestling Coach

Paul Mayfield will lead Murray State's first collegiate men's and women's wrestling teams, set to launch in 2025.


Paul Mayfield joins the Aggies from Bixby High School. Under his leadership, Bixby became a powerhouse, currently ranked No. 2 in the country.

Murray State's NICHE group delivered 57 Valentine's Day balloons to Southbrook Nursing Home in Ardmore to spread a little love.

Alumni Sweetheart Giveaway

The college hosted a special giveaway to celebrate Murray State College alumni couples—a luxurious one-night stay in a king suite at Echo Canyon Spa Resort in Sulphur, OK. This exclusive experience was awarded to a lucky couple who met and graduated as proud Murray State College Alumni.


The winners of this giveaway were Lynn & Mary Wood.

Student Support Services Travel to New York City

Murray State College Student Support Services traveled to New York City for their annual cultural experience trip. They attended a Broadway performance, visited the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Colombia University, New York Library, Grand Central Station and more.

Ardmore Chamber Annual Banquet

Murray State College faculty and staff attended the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce banquet. The annual banquet celebrates the previous year's activities and accomplishments.

Boots and Bowties

Murray State faculty and staff attended the Carter County Boots and Bowties Ball, which raises money for the Carter County Junior Livestock Show.

FBLA Week

Murray State Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) set up a table to provide students with information about the program and its benefits of joining. Students had the opportunity to be creative and make their business cards.

Cross Country Team Plays Dodgeball With Local Elementary Students

The Murray State College Cross Country Team took time out of their day to play dodgeball with Tishomingo Elementary School Students

Lady Aggies Continue Perfect Start

The No. 3 Murray State College Softball Team continues its dominance. They swept both No. 22 Hutchinson Community College and Northeast Community College. The Lady Aggies are now 16-0 on the season.

Baseball Extends Win Streak to 9

The Murray State College Baseball Team swept away ASU-Three Rivers and cruised past Northeast Texas Community College to extend their win streak to nine games. The Aggies are now 12-4 on the season.

Lady Aggies Win 20th Game of the Season

The No. 19 Murray State College Women's Basketball Team went 2-0 to surpass the 20-win plateau this season. The Lady Aggies are now 21-3 on the year and 11-1 in region play.

Mens Basketball Goes 2-0 on the Week

The Murray State College Men's Basketball Team picked up a pair of victories this week over NOC-Tonkawa and NOC-Enid. The Aggies are now 19-6 on the season and 8-4 in Region 2 action.
