Veterans Awareness Week

In honor of Veteran's Day, Murray State celebrated all week with various activities.

We provided a luncheon for our Murray State veterans.

Thank you to former Senator Frank Simpson for speaking at the flag ceremony held in the Murray State College Sunken Gardens on Tuesday.

Murray State College also honored World War II veteran George Branch and Colonel Steve Cheadle during halftime of the men's basketball game.

Murray State Sponsors Pecan Festival and

Essay Contest

Murray State College sponsored the Oklahoma Pecan Festival and essay contest in Ardmore. Several Murray State students volunteered to help as well.

Tishomingo's Matthew Patton won first place and a $1,500 tuition waiver.

Alex’s Marleigh Rodriguez claimed second place and a $1,000 tuition waiver.

Mill Creek’s Zaden Hinton won third place and a $500 tuition waiver.

Ardmore Academic Resource Center Open House

Murray State students and community members toured the new Academic Resource Center in Ardmore on Tuesday.

Murray State Hosts "Give Thanks" Event

Murray State College held its second annual "Give Thanks" event in Ardmore on Tuesday. There were food, games and prizes to thank Murray State College faculty and staff for their hard work.

President Faltyn provided a campus update and employees had the chance to win some prizes.

Murray State, AmeriState Bank and Sooner Foods Sign MOU

Oklahoma Speaker of the House of Representatives Charles McCall, Murray State College President Dr. Tim Faltyn and Sooner Foods Owner Kemper Howe, signed a MOU on Thursday.

Murray State College, Ameristate Bank and Sooner Foods agreed to expand the digital and static signage at the Main Street/Byrd Street Intersection in Tishomingo.

Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association Meeting

Murray State College hosted the Oklahoma Cattleman's Association board and general membership meetings.

Murray State President Dr. Faltyn welcomed everyone. Brian Cothran, Dean of Agriculture, Business and Occupational Technology, introduced the ag faculty and the Murray State farm student workers.

HFV Wilson 75th Anniversary Gala

Murray State Assistant Vice President of External Affairs Jordyn Frazier attended HFV Wilson's 75th Anniversary Gala that was held at the Murray Event Center.

Ardmore Leadership Class

Murray State President Dr. Faltyn talked with the Ardmore Leadership class about Murray State and shared some of the good things happening on both campuses.

United Way Award

Murray State College received the 2023 United Way New Business Award.

Johnston County Historical Society Hosts

Boots and Bonnets Event

The Johnston County Historical Society hosted the "Boots and Bonnets" event at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center. The event provided the opportunity to experience a statehood-themed evening of time-period dress, food and entertainment.

President Emeritus Joy McDaniel-Aldridge provided a history of Murray State.

Boots and Buckles Fundraiser

Murray State's agriculture department attended the Boots and Buckles Fundraiser to support Murray County 4-H and FFA.

Murray State Holds Junior/Senior Preview Day

Murray State College hosted its annual Junior/Senior Preview Day this week. High School juniors and seniors toured the Tishomingo campus, visited classrooms, and met faculty and staff.

Men's Golf Ranked No. 9

The Murray State College Men's Golf Team moved up one spot to the No. 9 position in the newest edition of the Spikemark Top 20 Rankings.

The Aggies return to the course in the spring for the OCAC Golf Championship on April 2nd.

Basketball Teams Victorious

The Lady Aggie women's basketball team cruised to a victory on the road against Jacksonville College, 66-42, Tuesday.

The Murray State College men's basketball team came from behind to defeat Ranger College, 79-74, on Thursday.
