Cross Country National Runner of the Week

Jacob Robison was named NJCAA DII Runner of the Week. Robison became the first Murray State College men's cross country runner to medal when he earned third place in the 8k at the Carl Albert State College Meet.

World Champion Visits with Shotgun Team

The 2024 World Sporting Clay Champion Brandon Powell spent time shooting and giving tips to the Aggie shotgun team at the Murray State Shotgun Team Training Facility.

Murray State College Board of Regents Summit

The Murray State College Board of Regents held their annual summit on the college's Tishomingo campus. They toured the campus' current construction projects such as the gym and student union.


Following the tour, Murray State deans and executive committee presented their 2023-24 goal updates and new ones they have set for the 2024-25 academic year.

Board Dinner Recognitions

Murray State Board of Regent Allen Benson was recognized as the outgoing chair and provided words of encouragement and why the college is so special to him.

Murray State College Student Government Association President Morgan Boyles spoke about SGA and her role as president.

Murray State's Bobbi LaFevers was given Emeritus status for her exemplary service and dedication to Murray State for 11 years.

Murray State Professor Terri Quinn was recognized for being named the 2024 Oklahoma State Teachers Association Science Teacher of the Year.

Murray State College Dean of Learning and Student Success Tracey Hickman as recognized for receiving the 2024 Benjamin Cooper Academic Ambassador Award.

For the third time in four years, Murray State's head softball coach Aaron Mullens was named NJCAA Region 2 Coach of the Year. He also tabbed his 300th career win this past spring.

Murray State's Women's Basketball Coach Nate Levine was selected to coach at the NCAA Women's College Basketball Academy.

International Student Welcome

Murray State's NICHE student organization hosted an international student welcome event in the college's sunken gardens. Students played spoons and were able to meet some fellow students, faculty and staff. Murray State has 75 international students enrolled this fall.

Murray State Veterinary Nursing

On Friday, Murray State Veterinary Nursing students volunteered at the Oklahoma State Fair Birthing Center. This was a great opportunity for students to gain skills and knowledge with hands-on experience and see what it is like to be a livestock veterinarian for a day.

Johnston County Fairest of the Fair and Fair King

The Senior Division Champions received a $1,500 tuition waiver to Murray State College. The Junior Division Champion received a $100 gift card to Murray on Main.

Johnston County Fair King Panel of Judges

Brynn Custar, Sandi Hopson and EJ Holliday were the Fair King panel of judges. Brynn and EJ are Murray State agriculture students and Sandi is the Gunsmithing Office Assistant.

Durant 8th Graders Tour Murray State College Campus in Tishomingo

Durant 8th graders with Gear Up visited Murray State College on Wednesday. They were able to get a firsthand look at our programs and facilities.

Men's Soccer Ranked Highest in School History

The Murray State College men's soccer team jumped up to the No. 8 ranking in the latest NJCAA DI Coaches Poll, which marks the highest ranking in program history!

Murray State Fishing Team Wins First Tournament of the Season

The Murray State College Fishing Team won the first tournament of the season with three teams finishing in the top five.

1st Place: Hunter Miller & Axel Peirce

2nd Place: Braden Lankford & Tityn Miller

4th Place: Carson Owen & Dylan Reed

Murray State Rodeo Team Members Win

This weekend, Murray State Rodeo Team members competed at the Colby Community College Rodeo. Colton Thomason won the Team Roping Championship placing 1st in the long and short goes as well as 1st in the average championship. Timber Carter placed 3rd in the long and short goes, and 2nd in the average.

Lady Aggies Earn Second Place in Season Opener

The Murray State College Women's Golf Team began their season at the Iowa Central Fall Classic last week. The Lady Aggies finished in a tie for second place in the one-day tournament.


Gabby Hack led the charge for Murray State as she finished in a tie for second place in the individual standings, while Skye Vaca claimed a sixth-place finish.

Murray State Cross Country Teams Place

The Murray State College Cross Country Teams traveled to Dallas this weekend for a meet at the University of Dallas. The men's team took 2nd place and the women's team took 4th.

Murray State Soccer Teams Shutout Eastern

This weekend, the Murray State College Men's and Women's Soccer teams rivaled Eastern Oklahoma State College in Tishomingo. Both teams blanked Eastern Oklahoma State with a 3-0 score at the final.

The Aggies run their season record to 7-0 as well as 5-0 in conference action and will have a well deserved week off before hosting Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on Sunday, September 22nd.


The Lady Aggies improved to a 3-1-2 overall with the win and 2-1-2 in conference play heading into a Wednesday road trip at perennial power and fifth-ranked Seminole State.

Murray State Cross Country Team Volunteers at the Madill Meet

Members of the Murray State Cross Country Team volunteered their time this week to assist at the Madill Elementary Cross Country Meet.
