Fred A. Chapman FFA Interscholastic Contest

Murray State College hosted the Fred A. Chapman FFA Interscholastic Contest on Tuesday. More than 300 students from 28 schools attended. Students competed in categories such as agronomy and floriculture to meats evaluation and rangeland management.


Awards will be presented at the Oklahoma FFA State Convention scheduled May 6th and 7th in Oklahoma City.

SGA Southeastern Conference

Over the weekend, the Murray State College Student Government Association attended the Southeastern Conference, where they had the opportunity to connect with fellow SGA students and advisors and engage in valuable networking.

"A Love Story: The Art of Merle Maxwell"

Murray State College in Ardmore hosted a reception for the art exhibit "A Love Story: The Art of Merle Maxwell." The exhibit showcases his deep affection for his late wife, Nancy, and his current wife, Francis, as well as his love for nature and significant moments in his life.

World Record Holder Ashlee Eskelsen Visits Murray State College

Murray State College Online Nutrition Instructor and World Record Holder Ashlee Eskelsen, known for completing a half marathon while pushing a triple stroller, visited the Murray State College Cross Country Team. She joined the team for a run and shared valuable insights on nutrition, proper fueling and essential habits for success.

She also shared her world record story, nutrition strategies, training mindsets and goal-setting advice with Murray State students and employees.

Men's Golf Dominates South Central District Preview

The Murray State College Men's Golf Team delivered a commanding performance at the South Central District Preview, securing a victory by 27 strokes over two rounds at Lake Hefner Golf Course.


Jose Lopez took home an individual title, beating the field by six strokes.

Lady Aggies Shoot Best Round in Six Years

The Murray State College Women's Golf Team recorded their best round in six years at the South Central District Preview, securing a second-place finish among a competitive field.

Murray State Bass Fishing Team Hits Big

All five of Murray State's individual bass fishing teams finished in the top half of the field at the College Bassmaster event at Lake Eufaula.


The Aggies earned points to continue their climb in the national rankings list to 23rd.


They sit at #3 in the junior college rankings.

Braden Lankford and Tityn Miller placed 8th and qualified for the Bassmaster National Championship in July.

Brezlyn Hightower and Payton Bryant finished 20th.

Haley Named Player of the Week

Murray State College Baseball Shortstop, Austin Haley, has been named the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week following a stellar performance that helped propel the Aggies to three wins in four games. This is the third time this season Haley has received this award.

Murray Softball Stifles Tonkawa for Sweep

The Murray State College Softball Team continues their dominant 2025 season, extending their winning streak to 13 games with a pair of run-rule shutout victories over Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa.


With the sweep, the Lady Aggies improve to an outstanding 33-1 overall record and remain undefeated in regional play at 10-0. 

Morgan's Huge Day Spurs Aggies by Vikings

Sophomore Brennan Morgan had a huge day at the plate, racking up five hits—including two doubles and a pair of home runs—and driving in 10 runs as Murray State powered its way to a Region 2 sweep over Carl Albert State College.


The offensive outburst propelled the Aggies to a 23-13 overall record and a 7-3 mark in league play.
