Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges (OACC) Conference

Murray State faculty, staff and support staff of the year were recognized at this year's OACC Conference.

Murray State's Science Professor Don Loving presented at a breakout session about finding and using real-time data from various sources concentrating on Earth Sciences. Many of the data sites directly relate to Oklahoma.

Dr. Faltyn presented during Redlands Community College President Emeritus Jack Bryant's OACC Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Chickasaw Annual Meeting & Festival Parade

Murray State College participated in the Chickasaw Annual Meeting & Festival Parade. The College’s theme, United as One, highlighted more than 66 students from 30 different countries. The students walked through the parade with their country's flag.

Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice Visits Murray State College

Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice Dustin Rowe visited the Ardmore campus. During the visit, he met with American Government students to discuss the importance of thinking critically, outside of our ideological boxes and the need to reach compromises to solve our country's problems.


He also spoke about recent ethically challenging court cases and addressed students' questions. Students at Tishomingo participated in the event via Zoom.

Transfer and Career Fair

Murray State College hosted a Transfer and Career Fair on the Ardmore and Tishomingo campuses, providing students with an invaluable opportunity to explore their future paths. This engaging event connected attendees with various employers, offering insights into career opportunities and professional development.

Students had the chance to meet with representatives and gather resources to help guide their academic and career journeys. With a focus on empowering students, the fair fostered a sense of community and collaboration, helping them take the next steps toward their goals.

Manufacturing Week Tour

For manufacturing week, Murray State College Industrial Engineering Program Chair Lonnie Goff and a few Murray State students toured OK Brand Manufacturing, Mid America, and OK Steel and Wire.


They toured melting and rolling shops in Mid-America and the production and machine shops at OK Steel and Wire.

OTA Class of 2025 First Weekend on Campus

Murray State's Occupational Therapy Assistant Class of 2025 spent their first weekend of class practicing physical agent modalities and transfers.

Breast Cancer Awareness Campus Activities

Murray State's student organization NICHE hosted activities to commemorate breast cancer awareness month. On the Tishomingo campus, the College's Sunken Gardens fountain was turned pink as a gesture of solidarity with individuals currently battling or who have previously battled breast cancer.


Students were encouraged to showcase their creativity by participating in the Paint the Pumpkin Pink Contest on the Ardmore and Tishomingo campuses.

FBLA Volunteers with Animal Resources Group

Murray State's Future Business Leaders of America organization partnered with Southern Oklahoma Animal Resources in Madill to support local animal welfare initiatives. They served lunch to the community while raising awareness about animal care and adoption opportunities.

Strong Dads Do Real Things Program

Strong Dads and Dads Do Real Things hosted a community cookout at Ardmore's Central Park, attracting approximately 150 attendees. The event celebrated the graduation of six dedicated fathers from the Strong Dads program, which empowers fathers and father-figures by equipping them with essential tools and support to deepen their connections with their children.

Men's Soccer Clinches No. 1 Seed

The No. 7 Murray State College Men's Soccer Team continues to dominate this season. The Aggies are the only NJCAA Division I men's soccer team with a perfect record of 13-0!


The Aggies celebrated their sophomores earlier this week as they defeated the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain to clinch the No. 1 seed in the Region 2 Tournament!

Men's Golf Ranked No. 3

The Murray State College men's golf team jumped all the way to No. 3 in the Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA DII Coaches Poll this week!

Godin Wins First Tournament

In his Murray State College debut, men's golfer Jeremy Godin won the NJCAA Division II National Championship Preview with a -4 over the two-day tournament.


Godin and the Aggies defeated four Top-10 teams, including the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams in the country, to earn a second-place finish!

Aggies Dominate Fall Invite

The Murray State College Men's Golf Team won the Fall Aggie Invite in Ardmore earlier this week. Ten Aggies finished in the top-10 including Dylan Ros winning the tournament!

The Murray State College Women's Golf Team finished as the top NJCAA D2 team in a field of NJCAA D1 teams. Skye Vaca led the way for the hosts as she recorded a top-10 finish.

Murray State College Rodeo Team

Murray State Aggie Steer Wrestlers Jay Tubbs and Slate Harper competed in the Arkansas Rodeo Association Finals in El Paso, Arkansas, on October 3rd, 4th & 5th. Jay was named Rookie of the Year in the ARA Steer Wrestling.


Slate and Jay will compete in the Arkansas Cowboys Association Finals in Searcy, Arkansas.

Murray State Rodeo Team Members Place in the Average

Murray State College Bullrider - Xavier Simeniuk - placed second in the long go and first in the average to win the SEOSU Bullriding Championship.


Team Ropers Paden Rawls and Case Phillips placed fourth in the long go, first in the short round and second in the average in their event.

Lady Aggies Defeat UA Rich Mountain

The Murray State College Women's Soccer Team used a goal by Cristina Escudero in the 88th minute to earn a crucial 2-1 victory on Wednesday!


The Lady Aggies are 7-4-2 on the season.

Cross Country Records 22 PRs

The Murray State College Cross Country Team recorded 10 personal records at the Chile Pepper Run hosted by the University of Arkansas.


One week later, the Aggies topped that number as 12 runners set their personal bests at the Old Glory Gallop at Dallas Baptist University.


The Murray State College Cross Country Team has a couple of weeks of training before competing in Regionals on Oct. 26

Each week during the 2024-25 academic year, Murray State College highlights a student-athlete for a Q&A "Student-Athlete Spotlight" segment.


Last week's Student-Athlete Spotlight features Hunter Miller and Axel Pierce. They won the Aggies' season opener at Keystone Lake.
