Murray State e-Sports 2025 NJCAAE National Runner-Up

Juan Flores and Jacob Robinson of the Murray State College e-Sports Team delivered an impressive performance in the NJCAAE Spring 2025 Fortnite Zero Build National Competition. Despite a strong showing, their momentum was disrupted by an untimely internet crash during Game 3 of the best-of-five series. Ultimately, they fell short with a final score of 3-1, securing a hard-fought National Runner-Up finish.

Murray State Team Roper Qualifies for Nationals

Murray State College team roper Case Phillips was named the Central Plains Region Team Roping Champion Heeler.


In June, he will rope in the College National Finals Rodeo for the NIRA National Championship in Casper, Wyoming.

FBLA Members Win at State Leadership Conference

Four Murray State College FBLA Collegiate members earned top awards at the State Leadership Conference at the University of Central Oklahoma.


Hannah Smith placed 1st in Parliamentary Procedure, earned two additional top-three finishes and received the Who’s Who Award for Oklahoma. She will represent the state at Nationals.


Reyna Darden, Amber Otto and Barbara Alexander each earned multiple 1st and 2nd place awards, qualifying for Nationals.


Co-Adviser Kathy Bowen was named Oklahoma Chapter Adviser of the Year.

President's Scholars Program Final Presentations

The Murray State College President's Scholars Program presented their final projects. These presentations addressed the use of artificial intelligence and its impact on their career fields.

Musical Theater Ensemble Performance

Murray State College Musical Theater students showcased their ensembles in Ardmore and Tishomingo, demonstrating the hard work and dedication they’ve invested in their craft throughout the semester.

Oklahoma Lt. Governor's Turkey Hunt

Murray State College President Dr. Tim Faltyn attended the Oklahoma Lt. Governor's Turkey Hunt Kickoff Dinner in Ardmore. This event showcases Oklahoma communities to prospective out-of-state companies and site selection representatives.

SGA Members Attend State Conference

The Murray State College SGA President, Vice President and members attended the Oklahoma SGA Conference. They participated in writing legislation and addendums to policy, and attended the Inauguration Ceremony for the incoming state SGA leadership.

Student Art Exhibit Reception

Murray State College hosted receptions in Ardmore and Tishomingo, showcasing student artwork. The exhibit includes a diverse collection of paintings, drawings, multimedia pieces and skill-based artwork, celebrating the creativity and growth of the college's emerging artists.

Aggie Talent Show

Murray State College Student Life hosted an Aggie talent show with a special guest judge, Jaxen Mannering.

The 1st place winner was Emilie Moore, a Murray State College Nursing student. She won a $400 gift card.

The 2nd place winner was Andrew Todd, a Murray State College Gunsmithing student. He won a $200 gift card.

The 3rd place winners were the Moo Moo Musicians, better known as the Murray State softball players and friends. They received a $100 gift card.

Quinton Jones Speaks at USAO

Quinton Jones, Murray State College Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs, recently visited the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma to deliver an inspiring talk focused on resilience, perseverance and the power of community in higher education.

Donation to Ardmore Animal Shelter

The Murray State College in Ardmore hosted a blood drive and exceeded expectations, achieving 15% more donors than originally planned. This initiative aimed to participate in the Oklahoma Blood Institute's Greater Good program, which allocates $15 per donor to groups that surpass their goals.

Murray State College Ardmore selected the Ardmore Animal Shelter as the non-profit beneficiary of the Greater Good effort. Labeth Nall, the Murray State College Blood Drive Coordinator, presented $330 to Shelter Manager Amanda Dinwiddie.

Murray Catches Second Oklahoma College Bass Championship Team and Coach

The Murray State College Fishing Team competed in the Oklahoma College Bass Championship on Lake Eufaula. The team secured its second Oklahoma School of the Year title and John Owen received his second Oklahoma Coach of the Year award. Braden Lankford and Tityn Miller placed third, and Sam Sutter and Shaden Farley took fourth place.

Lady Aggies Ranked No. 2 in the Nation

The Murray State College Softball Team is putting together a season for the ages, sitting at No. 2 in the latest NJCAA Division II National Rankings. With a 47-1 overall record and a perfect 24-0 mark in Region 2 play, the Lady Aggies have proven themselves a powerhouse, currently riding a 27-game streak.

Softball Sweeps Player of the Week Awards

Cady Ammons was named the Region 2 Player of the Week and Bradi Harman was Region 2 Pitcher of the Week. Ammons went 10-for-15 with 11 RBIs, 7 runs scored, 3 home runs and a pair of doubles. Harman threw 9 innings in her two victories without allowing a run and striking out 16 batters.

Baseball Wins Two of Three on the Week

The Murray State College Baseball Team defeated Richland College and split with Redlands Community College. The Aggies are 31-18 on the season and 13-7 in Region 2 play this year.

Murray State Cross Country Coach and Team Members Run First-Ever Marathon

Murray State's Cross Country Coach Justin Wagner and runners Brynn Custer and Shawn Weaver completed their first-ever half marathon at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon.
