Murray State Gunsmithing Building Groundbreaking

Murray State College hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Gunsmithing Facility, located on Murray State's Tishomingo campus.


Ceremony speakers included:

*President Dr. Tim Faltyn, Murray State College

*Speaker Charles McCall, Oklahoma House District 22

*Representative Kevin Wallace, Oklahoma House District 32

*Senator Roger Thompson, Oklahoma Senate District 8

*Chancellor Allison Garrett, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education

*Tate Gruenwald, Murray State College Gunsmithing Student and SGA Representative

The new gunsmithing education facility will host the Associate of Applied Science degree program, a Custom Gunsmithing program and the Bachelor of Applied Technology in Gunsmithing degree program.


The facility will hold 10 lecture/lab spaces, a machine shop, metals lab, wood shop, engraving lab, reloading room, a CAD/CAM room and more.

Metallic Gardens Art Exhibit Closing Reception

Murray State students and faculty had the chance to view Sharon Burris' exhibit titled "Metallic Gardens." Burris manipulates photographic images and transposes them onto metal surfaces that are both beautiful and transformative. 

Huey Wins Bucks Cattle Company Contest

The Murray State College Livestock Judging Team dominated the Buck's Cattle Company 2023 Livestock Judging Contest.


Olivia Huey won the junior college division, while Andrea Pruitt and Crae McPhie earned fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Soccer Dominates on Sophomore Day

The Murray State College soccer teams dominated Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College during the Aggies' Sophomore Day this week.

Aggies Succeed at OSU Stampede Rodeo

Congratulations to Murray State College's Garrett Hughes and Southeastern Oklahoma State University's Levi James on being named the Team Roping Champions at the OSU Stampede Rodeo this past weekend!

Aggies Excel at AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open

The Aggies competed in the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open this past weekend. Sam Sutter and Braden Lankford finished in the No. 16 spot out of 240 teams in the tournament!
