Murray State Nursing 50th Anniversary

Banquet

The Murray State Nursing Program's 50th Anniversary banquet was the kick-off to the start of a fundraising tradition. The event raised more than $20,000 to create the MSC Nursing Healthcare Hero Scholarship Fund for future nursing students.

This scholarship will provided needed financial aid to students with a passion for helping people in rural Oklahoma.

Special Athletic Commencement

Murray State held a special commencement for the softball and baseball teams. They were playing at their respective district tournaments during the time that the main commencement was held.

Murray State Gunsmithing Awards

Each year, since 2016, a gunsmithing student is selected to receive the Dan Byrd award.

Dan Byrd was an alum of the gunsmithing program and was selflessly helpful to other students when he was at Murray.

This year's recipient is Trenton Lyall (right.) He is a custom gun-making student.

Presenting the plaque is Gunsmithing Club President Jarriett Watkins.
