Murray State Celebrates Michelin Technical Scholars

Each year, Michelin offers opportunities for select students to develop hands-on work experience while earning their degree in Industrial Engineering.


The 2022-23 Michelin Technical Scholars were celebrated with a dinner and certificate signing on Wednesday.


This year's scholars are: Jessica Robertson, Fisher Hill and Kavin Bolding. Last year's student, Jacob Pierson, was also recognized.

Murray State, Carl Albert and Redlands Community College Partner to Support Student Software Needs

These three Oklahoma two-year colleges will share a system administrator to maintain the colleges' Ellucian Colleague enterprise resource planning software.


This partnership will help meet the needs of their school communities, while maximizing resources.



Welcome Back Faculty and Staff!

President Faltyn welcomed faculty and staff back to campus for the 2022 academic year.


On Tuesday, faculty and staff gathered in the Ag Science building for a welcome back to campus and discussion about where we are headed as a college.


Years of service awards were also presented to employees who have 5, 10 and 20 years of service.


Murray State Nursing Program to Grow to 150 Graduates Each Year

The Murray State College Health Science Building is ready to receive the additional nursing student load. The program graduates 90 associate degree RNs each year. 


With the new $1.78 million in funding, Murray will now be able to graduate an additional 60 students each year.


The need for registered nurses continues to increase and Murray intends to grow the program to help that need.

MSC Begins 2027 Strategic Planning

In preparation for 2027 strategic planning, we brought in Mike Boyd, President of Kankakee Community College in Illinois to facilitate with every Murray State employee, the executive team and Board of Regents.

Oklahoma Senator Chris Kidd Visits Campus

Oklahoma Senator Chris Kidd took a stroll down memory lane as he walks around campus for a quick visit during freshman move-in day.


Kidd is a former Aggie and says Murray will always feel like home.  


He and Dr. Faltyn met up with the women's soccer team for a quick photo op!
