Murray State College Partners with Southern Oklahoma Library System

Murray State College and the Southern Oklahoma Library System are partnering together to provide enriched library services to Murray State students.


This partnership allows the library system to pull Murray State students names and IDs into their system as patrons, allowing direct access to their libraries and databases. This includes online live tutoring and a writing lab, test preparation, the Overdrive Virtual Library, and the use of books and computers at any of their locations.

Mullens Selected NJCAA Coach of the Year

Murray State College Softball Coach Aaron Mullens was selected as the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region II Coach of the Year. 


He is in his seventh season as Murray State’s head softball coach. This past season was another record-setting season, not only did he help lead his team to a 2022 NJCAA Division II National Runner-Up finish, he and his coaching staff were recognized as the NJCAA Division II South Region Coaching Staff of the Year. 


Mullens has helped lead his team to back-to-back tournament appearances in 2021 and 2022. Since his arrival in 2017, his teams have been Region 2 champions.

Due to the lingering drought, Tishomingo is currently under Stage 5 water restrictions, which means it's important that we do all that we can to conserve water.

Murray State Collegiate FFA Members Serve as Judges


Murray State College Collegiate FFA students recently served as judges for the Turner FFA and Coalgate FFA Jackpot Opening Ceremonies (OC) contests.


These individuals volunteered their services to assist these local FFA chapters with their events that focus on teaching parliamentary

procedure to 8th and 9th grade FFA members.
