Artist Al Bostick Reception

Artist Al Bostick had some of his art on display at Murray State's Ardmore campus. On Tuesday, Murray State hosted a reception for him. Chef Rodney with The Taste restaurant talked with attendees and prepared some appetizers. Approximately 90 guests visited the displays.

The Ardmore 7th and 8th grade classes visited throughout the day and displayed their handmade African dolls.

MLK Parade

Murray State nursing students, faculty and staff participated in the MLK Parade in Ardmore. The float was adorned with large images of Martin Luther King. The nursing students walked alongside the float handing out candy to the young kids along the parade route.

Murray State faculty and staff attended the Strength in Numbers Gala.

Ardmore Legislative Affairs Luncheon

Murray State College President, faculty and staff attended Ardmore's first legislative luncheon for 2024.


Representatives Tammy Townley and Josh Cantrell, and Senator Jerry Alvord spoke on priority issues being discussed at the Capitol.

Ribbon Cutting

Jordyn Frazier, Murray State College Assistant Vice President of External Affairs, attended the ribbon cutting for 360 Broadband in Tishomingo.

Ardmore Main Street Authority

Murray State's Ardmore Vice President Ginger Cothran serves as a member on the Ardmore Main Street Authority board. They recently had their board retreat in Ardmore's Depot Park.

TRIO Day at the Capitol

Murray State's Student Support Services group attended TRIO Day at the Oklahoma State Capitol. They advocated for TRIO and shared with different individuals how impactful it is for students' educational journey.

President Scholars Program Guest Speaker

Attorney Krystina Phillips with Indian & Environmental Law Group, PLLC, talked with the Murray State President Scholars about Oklahoma Water Laws.

Igou Garners National Recognition

Congratulations to Haili Igou on being tabbed both the Region 2 and National Division 2 Softball Player of the Week! Igou posted a .667 batting average while accumulating 7 RBIs, 6 runs scored, 2 doubles and 2 home runs.

Austin Tabbed Region 2 Player of the Week

Congratulations to Tarrance Austin on being named the Region 2 Men's Basketball Player of the Week!


Austin helped lead the Aggies to a 2-0 record on the road last week while averaging 27 points per contest and 6.5 rebounds per game.

Softball Jumps into Top 5 in NJCAA DII Poll

Thanks to an impressive 18-2 start to the 2024 season, the Murray State College softball team jumped six spots to the No. 5 ranking in the NJCAA DII Week One Poll.


Murray State has recorded 10.9 runs per contest and has outscored their opponents, 218-55, through the first 20 games of the year.

Aggies Extend Win Streak to 6 Games

The Murray State College baseball team defeated Richland College, 9-7, on Monday to extend their win streak to six games.


The Aggies are 11-6 overall and host a three-game series against Western Oklahoma State College this weekend.

Aggies Earn Pivotal Wins

The Lady Aggies also picked up a big win this week as they defeated NEO, 77-64, on Thursday night.

The Murray State College men's basketball team took care of Redlands Community College, 89-65, to improve to 9-4 in Region play.
