Rogers Breaks 67 Year-Old Record

Aggie barrel racer McKenna Rogers earned a spot in the Kansas State College Rodeo finals this past weekend. Rogers set the arena record in the old Weber Hall Arena with an impressive 11.9 second run, breaking the 67-year-old record by being the first to run the pattern under 12 seconds.

Board of Regents Meeting

Murray State's Bass Fishing Coach John Owen gave an update on the fishing team's current standings and achievements.


Murray State students Fisher Hill and Paris McCullers were also in attendance as the first Murray State bass fishing team to win the state championship.

Murray State's Shotgun Team Coach Scott Robertson shared a story of a shotgun team member who had the determination to learn a brand new skill and excel.


Clay Robertson was also recognized for his achievement in winning the LR Helice World Cup in Brazil.

National FFA Week

In honor of National FFA Week, Murray State's Collegiate FFA hosted Aggie Olympics at the Johnston County Fair Barn.


Events ranged from feed sack and stick horse races to cow milking and egg toss.


Murray State Rodeo Team members Blake Carter and Rodney Jackson won first place.

The members also displayed some of their FFA jackets inside the student union and set up a booth by the cafeteria to answer any questions about FFA.

Food and Resource Center

Murray State faculty and staff volunteered at the Food and Resource Center in Ardmore.


The Center also donated some items to help stock the College's Murray Market on the Ardmore campus.

Marshall County Chamber Banquet

Murray State College faculty attended the Marshall County Chamber Banquet on Tuesday night.

Men's Basketball Picks Up Road Win

The Murray State College Men's Basketball Team earned a pair of big road wins this week.


The Aggies began the week by knocking off NOC-Tonkawa on Monday, 92-88. Three days later, Murray State bested NOC-Enid in overtime, 90-85. With the wins, the Aggies are now 8-4 in Region Play.

Tinsley Tabbed Sooner Sports Player of the Week

Congratulations to Andrew Tinsley on being named the Sooner Sports Baseball Report Player of the Week!


In the four games that Tinsley played this past week, he bated .529 with five stolen bases, five runs scored, four RBIs, two doubles and a home run.

Baseball Sweeps NCTC

The (RV) Murray State College Baseball Team swept North Central Texas College on Wednesday afternoon. The Aggies blanked NCTC, 10-0, in the opener and defeated the Eagles, 12-9, in the second game of the double-header.
