Murray State Hosts FFA Invitational

Seven schools attended Murray State's FFA Invitational Thursday night. Students competed in the Greenhand Quiz Written Test, and Opening and Closing Ceremonies contests. Teams also had the opportunity to compete in the Senior Shuffle Opening and Closing Ceremonies contest.

2023 Chickasaw Festival Parade

The Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival took place in Tishomingo, September 29 through October 7, culminating with a parade on the final day.

As a proud Chickasaw citizen, Murray State's own Board of Regent Vice Chair Leslie Larsen helped judge the parade entries.

South Central Oklahoma Workforce Summit

The Ardmore Development Authority, Murray State College and SouthernTech hosted local educators and employers for the Southern Oklahoma Workforce Summit.

President Dr. Tim Faltyn presented statistical information about the workforce industry in the surrounding counties.

Murray State and SouthernTech students served on a panel, sharing their thoughts about what they are looking for in potential employers.

Ardmore Manufacturing Dinner

Murray State faculty and staff attended the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce's Manufacturer and Distribution Center dinner.

Aggie Fest

The Niche student group hosted Aggie Fest at the courts on Tuesday. Students competed in several games including Tug-A-War, Eating Contests and the Hay Bale Toss.

PSP Hosts Bingo Night

The Murray State College President's Scholars Program hosted Bingo Night at the Johnston County Fair Barn. There was a silent auction, dinner and prizes awarded to the winners. All proceeds are going directly toward Christmas Angel Tree donations.

Painting HOPE Pink, One Drop at a Time

Murray State students, faculty and staff turned the fountains on the Tishomingo campus pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Bass Fishing Now #1 Team in Oklahoma

The Aggies took over as the No. 1 Bass Fishing Team in Oklahoma after their performance at the ACA - Oklahoma College Bass Championship on Lake Texoma last week.

Brezlyn Hightower & Peyton Bryant earned second place, Braden Lankford & Sam Sutter claimed third, and CJ Lawrence & Fisher Long took home sixth place in the tournament.

Women's Soccer Ranked in Top-20

The Murray State College women's soccer team jumped back into the Top-20 for the second time this season.

The Lady Aggies earned the No. 19 ranking in this week's edition of the NJCAA Coaches Poll.

eSports Wins First Match of Year

The Murray State College eSports team dominated Muskegon Community College in Rocket League to pick up the Aggies' first win of the season!

Garrett Andress, Dalton Elmer, and Xander Blackstone helped Murray State sweep the Jayhawks, 3-0.

Livestock Judging Succeeds at State Fair of Texas

The Murray State College livestock team impressed at the State Fair of Texas

and Tulsa State Fair this past weekend.

Haiden Thayn and Crae McPhie led the way for the Aggies in the sheep and goats division in Texas as Thayn was high individual, while McPhie claimed third place. Andrea Pruitt also earned tenth place in the cattle division.

Crae McPhie placed fifth in the sheep and goats division in Tulsa as well.

Women's Golf Claims Fifth Place

Led by Skye Vaca and Averyl Bell, the Murray State College women's golf team finished the second round nine strokes better than their first round to clinch fifth place at the Bethany College Swedes Shootout this week.
